“First time here and not disappointed. Didn't have a long wait like others said. The doma was excellent. I got the combo to try their meats - beef kabob, chicken Tikka, and beef shawarma. All were seasoned well, especially the shawarma...very bold. But it's the cook on the meat that set them apart! All 3 were tender, juicy, and savory. Too many overcook these but they just melted in my mouth. Highly recommended.“

“Food was good. However, the cashiers were busy cleaning up for the night vs taking care of customers. It wasn’t late, either. It was around 7:30 or 7:45 on a Sunday. The cleaners they use are very strong. Very pinesol or something like that. Glad I got food to go because I wouldn’t want to have smelled the cleaners during dinner. Dining room had zero vibe.“

“We were wandering around the Gaslamp looking for a new restaurant to try. We luckily went into Mimosa. What a lovely dinning experience. We had the dinner for two. This gave us the chance to try most of their specialties .It was really impressive that each entree had its own unique flavor. The service was excellent and very friendly. The restaurant filled up quickly and so I guess we'll get a reservation next time.“

“We have ordered Kebabs before here, we recently ordered a meal kit that was all rice and hardly any meat, I mean it was a joke, its a $30 meal. I messaged them because we have ordered several times before and thought maybe they would try to make it right but they never replied. This was 2 weeks ago. We will never buy food here again! The servings are very small and there are tons of other places to eat or order take out around here if they want to be jerks about it! The food is average really, we order out frequently so as not to have to cook and live in the area. We got about $1 worth of rice and lettuce for a $30 meal plate, what a joke!“

“We had come here years ago when it was a different restaurant, and we were pleased to see how bright and open they've made it with the remodel.

Bisbas serves up a mix of traditional and modern Halal Somali cuisine, and the portions are perfect for sharing. Our server made some suggestions and served our food fresh and promptly.

Hubby has declared the goat mandi the best goat dish he's ever tried. It's so tender and spiced just right. The chicken was incredible too - really so juicy. The Chapati KK was so unique- chopped up chapati in a chicken stew that's so flavorful and aromatic. The Bisteki Fries were loaded up with steak and perfectly sauced. Kiddo wasted no time devouring his tenders too. We all left satisfied, with leftovers too 😋“

“The most delicious Mediterranean, Lebanese food in such a cute spot. The baba ghanoush was the best - great texture and flavor. We also ordered the kashkawan cheese and olive “pizza”. It did not disappoint. So mellow and chewy. Great vegetarian options that are legit, flavorful and healthy.

“First time visiting on a duty weekend. Walked in to a warm welcome from three gentlemen who were having a morning snack and conversing with one another. After chatting it up with the new owner who explained that food was prepared fresh daily and cooked to order, I decided to order the combo that came with chicken, beef, and seasoned ground beef that's formed into a ball and then grilled. The food was 🔥. Everything was well seasoned and the portion sizes were prefect. Combo came with rice, hummus, and s side salad with a vinegar dressing. I didn't plan on eating it all in one sitting but I couldn't stop. The only thing missing was a grilled tomato which I would have accepted over the salad if it was an option. Oh yeah, and the garlic sauce for the meat was prefect. Come pay these guys a visit. The new owner is taking over the family business and is modernizing the place so more food options will be available in the future. Oh, and they offer a military discount! 🫡“
