“It was a great experience visiting Luna Grill. I was ordering for several people, to be dropped off at different locations, and they had no problem bagging things separately. The manager, Roman, worked with me closely to create a safe dish for allergies, including subbing out the pita bread for extra rice. We will definitely visit again! The restaurant was clean. There was a short wait in line when we visited around 2pm, but no line after that. Two of the drink options were out of order.“
“Sorry, there are no pictures to share even after 2 visits. I was so impressed with the flavor, portions & selection here. Their plates consist of your choice of protein & sides. Honestly, if you buy 2 kabobs, you can easily split the sides such as hummus w pita, saffron rice, Greek salad, etc. And their sauces are self-served. Fiery red & cilantro jalapeño. It's very tasty & worth the trip! The steak is thick but tender, saffron chicken is flavorful!“
“I had the gyro sandwich combo with hummus, and everything was fresh and flavorful. I got pretty much exactly was I was looking for when I decided to try this place, and I enjoyed trying a couple of new flavors on the side, particularly the Afghan chutney. The dining area was clean and the music was chill, and I'd gladly come again.“
“Loved the flavorful Aleppo chicken and Lamb Dolmas. Overall, it felt just a little overpriced and the service staff seemed to be trying to sell us the expensive stuff. 20% gratuity and 4% living surcharge is added and they were very clear about it (which I appreciate). It is somewhere between a high end restaurant and a fine dining place. I would definitely want to go again just to taste the Aleppo chicken and Dolmas.“
“Very popular and well loved fine dining but casual Little Italy institution. Beautiful expansive horseshoe bar. Of the four of us, I was the only critic of the food. The ingredients are top-notch, but my salad was too acidic. My braised beef cheeks, a generous portion, were oddly crisped but tender on the inside. The broth was, surprise, acidic. Previously, I had the Branzino wrapped in spec (bacon), which was too salty in that it obliterated the taste of the branzino. Then again, everyone else enjoyed their meals.“
“George (the owner) and his staff were incredibly hospitable and source food consciously. The baba ghanoush and falafel were INCREDIBLE, even by comparison to dishes I've had while travelling in the middle east. Highly recommend to anyone visiting San Diego! Well worth the drive from down town (better quality, better price). Bonus for LOTS of vegetarian and vegan options.“
“Portuguese inspired coffee shop with a pleasant outdoor space. Their lattes are hit or half-hit, depends on who your barista is. Their tarts are amazing. And their vibe is excellent. The loaves of sourdough they sell are made by a local baker. I wanted to love it, partially bc I love the hype, partially bc it was like $15, but honestly it was just okay. Prager Bros is still light years ahead.... Still, the place is fun, good quality, and adds a lot to the neighborhood.“
“I am Lebanese-American and have dined at dozens of middle eastern & Lebanese restaurants locally. Without question, I would say this is the best on all metrics. If your reading this, you must not question, and go taste, see and experience for yourself.“
“Satisfying home cooked Lebanese cooking! I’ve tried a lot of places so I can happily say this place is now one of my favorites. No frills, no upscale pretentious vibes, just good ol’ delicious food served quickly. Looks like it was ran by 2 guys, one cooking and one taking orders. It’s a smaller joint that has capacity for maybe up to 18 diners. Intimate setting, simple set up but ridiculously delicious and genuine food. Their lentil soup is something I dream about occasionally. I ordered the chicken tawook bowl since I wasn’t that hungry and it HIT THE SPOT. Hummus was spot on, too. I’m excited for when I go downtown again so I can indulge and try something else on the menu. Everything I got I thoroughly enjoyed. Even the tea! If you’re looking for a simple yet delicious and flavorful meal, make sure you stop by here. I’m so happy they’re in my city! NOTE: if you like spice, make sure to ask for their signature spicy sauce on the side. You’re welcome ?“
“The food and atmosphere were great. I went there for a business meeting, and everyone came away happy with their food. we shared the jalapeño and cilantro hummus and the tzatziki sauce with pita bread as an appetizer. I had lamb Shawarma and really enjoyed it.I would definitely go back in the future to take my wife for dinner.“
“My experience at Luna grill was really amazing , we had such delicious food I had never had before and management was above and beyond when the staff was busy they came to make sure we had everything we needed 10 out of 10 experience . For sure would go again !“
“The staff is always helpful. The food is great. Elizabeth was very helpful. I had some deals on my app and she calmly helped me step through ordering so I could get the offers that are available to me. Thank you, Elizabeth. I also think it's great that they remember things about your ordering habits. Pablo seems to know I like 3..4 lemon slices ro season my salmon with. That's what I call customer service. Thanks, Pablo. Please "Like this if you find it helpful". Thank you.Dear Owner,I use to come here a lot. 2...3.. days a week. Please..please..put this restaurant back on the Marriott Eat Around Town program. If I get points for just eating here..I tend to eat here more. Since you stopped being on that program I only eat here like once every 6 months. Think it over. Thanks“
“As a Moroccan who lived most of her life in Morocco and the rest in baja cali. I love to come to this place and eat their food. It really makes me feel home and I love the taste and every bite of their food especially the hot Moroccan tea. I highly recommend this “
“my favorite restaurant of all time! the service is always impecable and it is the best food you can dream of for vegans and non vegans alike. they can cater to a wide range of allergies including (but not limited to) gluten free, nut free, and soy free. the wait staff are incredibly knowledgeable about the food and beverage selection and are so kind and helpful if you have any questions. the outdoor patio is beautiful with plants all around and the ambiance inside is lovely as well. my fiancé and i are having our wedding reception at donna jean and everybody at the restaurant has been so helpful every step of my planning. we are so excited to share our favorite restaurant with our friends and family. i would genuinely give 10 stars if i couldDietary restrictions: i can’t imagine a lot of dietary restrictions they are unable to accommodate.“
“We arrived a little before lunch, we were seated promptly, brought waters and menus very quickly. We ordered a gyro sandwich and fries and a gyro dish with a kebob. The food was delicious, flavors as expected and service was very quick, from ordering to being served as well. The beer options were good and went well with the food. I did enjoy this place and as others arrived for lunch they were serviced promptly as well, all while our server continued to give us excellent service. March 6, 2024.“
“What we enjoyed the most was the excellent and friendly service from Grant who not only gave us great food suggestions but also some tips on where to go out on town. We are visiting so we very much appreciated his friendliness! The venue is unique and the vibe is happy and fun!“
“Ordered a shawarma, one of the most delicious one i have had in San Diego. They make the Sajj bread in store which makes all the difference. First bite into Shawarama and you notice it. Also the Shawarama is quite large and fulfilling. I also tried their zaatar Mana'ish, would recommend getting some yogurt or hummus with it. They have a lot of options on the menu which can be overwhelming at first but read through the description and try a dish.“
“Best Gyro's. Stuffed with lots of meat, diced veggies. A little of everything with every bite. Very, very fresh.Always feel welcomed with every visit. If there are any slight issues with anything, they go the extra mile to make it just right. This place is Awesome and of course, so is the food. Also LOVE, LOVE the beet salads!“
“The food was absolutely stellar. The flavors were all there and I honestly will be coming back frequently. The service was great. The gentleman working the entire restaurant was super friendly, and him doing so much alone didn't compromise a single thing. I'm telling you, this is the spot for when you're craving some Mediterranean.“
“We come here weekly. The food is really fresh & made to order. It’s also affordable & delicious. The family is super nice & with just a few added words in Arabic; hello & thank you the sweetest smiles are added to my order. Salaam & shukran!Dietary restrictions: Plenty of gluten free, vegetarian, lactose free & even keto options.Parking: I always find free parking out front in the lot or on the street! Easy peasy.“
“Yummy Greek food. Quick, yummy, and filling food stop. We were pleasantly greeted as we walked in and told to take a seat.Service: Our menus took a few minutes to come to the table, and when we were ordering our waitress wouldn’t give us a straight forward answer about the sizing of the fries when we asked twice. While refilling our drinks, our waitress touched our fries with her hand. She didn’t say anything, but it would have been nice to have to acknowledge it. We removed the fries that her hands touched and ate the fries that were left.Parking: Easy parking lot in the strip mall“
“Adorable spot tucked into a small part of lot.Owner came out and helped us with the menu; hand delivered folks’ food even with a pick up window; and owner even tossed in a small side of fries for the pup.Hidden walkable gem in north park/city heights cusp. Owner clearly loves what he does and cares for his customers; genuine smile the whole time we were there.Service: efficientFood: outstandingVibe: chillOwner: legendHotel: trivago“
“We have wanted to find a Greek restaurant in downtown, and it was quite hard until a neighbor told us about this place. This restaurant is outstanding!! Rosalie is very pleasant, makes amazing cocktails and knows everyone. Authentic Greek food and apps is why we continue to come back to this place.“
“I’m obsessed with this place. It’s family owned and they’ve been around for a while. I’ve been coming here since before the pandemic. The food is top notch and they give great portions. I typically get the gyro plate & hummus. The man who takes the orders is always so friendly and sweet. It’s an all around great establishment!“
“Kebob Craft is conveniently located by barracks 14 at the boat entrance.Jessie was super helpful and friendly!Food is amazing, wish they had more locations. The bowl is huge, with tons of amazing toppings, definitely get the pickled turnips.“
“The food is so good that I can't stop thinking about Allthe things that are so good and the fish is amazing the Patatachap is so good with rice your smoothies are great and clean floors amazing customer service backround is nice how you cook is amazing the gyro is so good thanks nana Fofo Waseem mark martin James for all the things that you make you guys are so helpful five star of course“
“Beautiful location. Very spacious. Outdoor dining on a chilly March evening was just fine due to the heat lamps, which lent to the ambiance. The kampachi appetizer was delicious. Dirty martini and old fashioned were expertly made. Salmon has a nice crispy skin and beurre blanc sauce was decadent. Recommend for families, couples, friends, etc - everyone is made welcome. Service was impeccable and witty as well. Thank you, Paul!“
“Kebab Shop is my go to when I'm in the gaslamp. 5 stars in all categories.I was a little disappointed they discontinued the meatballs but I had the Kafta and it's actually better.Doesnt matter if you like a wrap or a plate both are exceptional. The manager is a cool dude as well. Always very pleasant and on top of his game.Fair warning, it takes like 10 or 15 minutes for the steak so be patient when you go there and order a freshly cooked skewer of meat.“
“This food truck is a hidden gem in Chula Vista! You can see just how juicy and tender the chicken and beef were in the picture! I usually drive to San Diego to eat mediterranean food because there isn't many options in CV. But now that I found this place, it will definitely be my go to. The meat is flavorful, the pita bread is fluffy, and the tabouli tastes fresh! There's not a long wait time and the service is nice. My only complaint is that I wish they gave more tabouli. Nonetheless, this place is delicious and I recommend getting their garlic sauce too to top off your meal. I will for sure be going more often and trying more things on the menu!“
“Sweet guy running the register, absolutely delicious food and quaint atmosphere with awesome prices. Def my fave Greek food in San DiegoParking: There are lots of options, time it for less busy points of the day and you’ll find enough options to fit any budget (it’s downtown) just give yourself a few extra minutes at peak timesWheelchair accessibility: The city has decent enough access compared to others I have lived in. This is an old building with close set tables, so getting in and getting seated might be a little difficult, but there is a wheelchair accessible seat right as you come in the door. There aren’t very many seating options, because of the size of building, that’s not something they can help.“
“I came here bc as a child, my somalian neighbors would give me sambusas and wanted my tastebuds to reminisce, and did they. The sambusas were so flavorful & the fufu with beef & spianch soup were exquisite!. i can not wait to go back & get more !l“
“I have been wanting to go here for years and finally had a chance to go with my wife for a Friday lunch. Parking can be a little tough, but there is free street parking and pay lots nearby. The restaurant atmosphere is super cool inside and the wait staff was incredibly friendly. The food was delicious. We got an appetizer platter and loved it. We ate the entire appetizer platter, including extra Pita bread, and almost ruined our appetites before our entrées arrived. The main meals were delicious. I also got the vegetarian platter with 4 different items and different rices.I will definitely go again (next time not on a Friday during Lent so that I can try some of the entrées with meat options). I will also recommend to friends and others.Vegetarian options: Wide variety of vegetarian options with excellent flavor profiles and large, hearty portions.“
“It all started with the Gyro and have been returning ever since I can remember. Great family-owned spot with excellent food for the price and friendly customer service that will keep you coming back for more. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area!“
“I tried the Beef and Lamb Shawarma plate. The portions are large so you can probably share this plate. Ordered it with Rice and Salad. Also came with hummus. Everything was delicious. I also tried the whole fried chicken wings which were also very tasty. So if in the mood for Gyros. You definitely should try this place out. Also has many other options on their menu. It's located in the Fiesta Market .“
“Wondered in after reading the sign outside advertising a special. Somalian food I had not ever experienced. I was offered a delicious hot black tea with milk and sugar. I ordered the salmon with rice, and salad. It was SO DELICIOUS. Clove and bay leaf slow cooked rice. The fish lightly crisp on the outside, buttery and cooked to perfection within. Kind courteous Somalian people and culture. I look forward to sharing more, and trying other dishes. Ancient good food.“
“Excellent food quality, portion, and flavors. Ordered the chef special and was pleased how fresh and pleasant the seasoning, sauce, ingredients were used. The owners were friendly and helpful with explaining some aspects of the food. The casual setting with picnic tables outside felt accordingly to the environment. Sadly I was too eager to enjoy the food to take a photo for presentation.“
“This Luna Grill is in the heart of Millenia Chula Vista. Parking is decent but can be a challenge in the weekends. The food is as expected top notch, albeit a little on the pricey side. Service is prompt but expect to wait 10 minutes for your order. Overall a very nice place to grab a delicious meal when in the area.“
