“We live near this winery and it is the only place I can find my FAVORITE wine. I refuse to say which wine it is because then it will sell out! I have turned all my friend's onto it & I am so thankful to have such nice & kind people running this winery. They have always been so generous with their pours & they have always figured out a way for me to get my hands on my favorite wine.

I also visit this winery when my family participates as a vendor during their craft/vendor fairs a couple times a year. I bring my daughter with me & sometimes a friend of hers & we always have a really great time.

I have been here several times, well, more than several times. Though I am not a member, I sure feel treated like I am a member. I have attended & held fundraisers here & I have been here for live music or just a quiet place to have girlfriend talk. I love that there are different things happening different days, but it isn't overwhelming like other wineries that get so incredibly busy that they lose their charm completely. I appreciate Koi Zen for the zen it brings me.

I would 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a place to enjoy wine with friends and/or family. Looking forward to my next visit, even though I just walked out with 3 bottles of my favorite wine tonight! Lisa & Darius & their staff are all great & deserve all the kudos. They all work really hard.

“Our wedding at Rancho Guejito was truly everything we dreamed of, and so much of that is thanks to Nicole and her incredible team.From the very first tour, Nicole made us feel so welcomed. One thing that really stood out to us was how hands-on she was throughout the entire process. We toured many venues while planning our wedding, and at most of them we never even met the owners. Nicole was completely different. She was present, involved, and genuinely cared about making sure our day was everything we hoped for. She is incredibly kind, patient, encouraging, and always so quick to communicate. Every question we had was answered thoughtfully, and she always made us feel like we were more than just another couple on the calendar. That personal connection meant so much to us during such an important season of our lives. On the wedding day, everything ran so smoothly. The property is absolutely breathtaking, beautifully maintained, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how stunning the venue was. We truly felt taken care of every step of the way. If you're considering Rancho Guejito, we cannot recommend it enough. It is an absolutely magical place to get married, and Nicole is one of the biggest reasons why. “Their wine club is a great deal, the service is always amazing, the location is very accessible with easy access to food nearby. If you’re adventurous, you can try the Project X which changes every week. If not, their standard wine offerings are delicious. I highly recommend the wine pairing events when they happen“

“Great wine and absolutely LOVE the property! It’s intimate and overlooking rolling hills of vines. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. I can honestly say I like ALL of their wine, which is rare. They don’t have as large of a selection as others, but what they do have is great! (And they do have whites and a rosé…not all in the area do.)“

“Ray, the owner was very welcoming and knowledgeable. The cabernet was exquisite, I was not expecting that kind of complexity and tannin-goodness. My wife had the Sauvignon which had a unique profile due to the technique they are using - very refreshing.
The view of the valley is gorgeous.

“This is an amazing winery. Stumbled upon this gem after spending the day at the Safari Zoo Park. Wonderful wines (didn’t taste a bad one and hard to choose a favorite) and ambiance. Loved it so much that we became members of the Thirsty Kettle Club and shipped 6 fabulous bottles home. We spent some time talking w the owner, Jeannine…so personable and a true class act. The winery is located up a relatively bumpy road past a sign reading "dead end, private road". You're going the right way with a great reward at the top!“

“Been driving by this Winery for the last several years and decided to stop. Sure glad we did. Proprietor is a very interesting gentleman to talk to. A lot of very interesting artifacts on the property. Couldn't choose which wine to buy so purchased 4 different bottles. Can't wait to go back.“

“LOVE going to Mia Marie’s for an afternoon with friends. The atmosphere and view are incredible and the wine is fabulous. On weekends they have live music and wine vendors and we never feel like they’re so busy we have a “2 hour table limit”. Their staff is all incredibly sweet and knowledgeable and the tasting events are fantastic. We stay, we drink, we hang, we enjoy the scenery and music, and it’s always an amazing time.“

“Loved the whites but not a huge fan of the reds (opposite of normal) It is a busy place, large with multiple sitting areas and was very popular the Saturday we were there with live music. Unfortunately only one place to get a glass or continue your tasting and waiting in line, mostly while one pour-er talked to one guest, got a little old and took away from the experience. Food truck on site serving pizza and related food was very good.“

“I actually learned of Altipiano Vineyard and Winery on the PBS program, Fresh Glass, several months ago and took special notice since I had plans to visit San Diego. I’m so glad my son, his wife and I came here! First of all, just picture the perfect San Diego Sunday afternoon. The weather was gorgeous, even the traffic cooperated. We each had a flight which consisted of 2 of their award winning reds, and a really nice prosecco. I do not pretend to be a wine connoisseur, but I know what tastes good to me. Everything we tasted was delicious, of high quality and was elevated over the top by the atmosphere and hospitality of the owners Barbera and Dennis, as well as our hostess. We had an awesome time. Highly recommended!“

“Amazing! Our favorite place in Ramona. Alfredo treated us like family. The wines are unique and so clean — we did not experience headaches. We can’t drink wine bc of sensitivity to sulfates and additives. We each had 2 glasses and felt wonderful. No headaches! It’s a gem of a place. The real deal 🍷“

“What I think is happening with all the 5 star reviews for this winery is that they're all based on the Art and atmosphere. Which are incredible and I definitely encourage everyone to check this winery out for that sole purpose. However, one must also leave a review in regards to service and the wine itself. Upon finding the random corner for a tasting, the guy said it was over and the two remaining bottles on the counter was what was left. I asked if I could purchase a new bottle and he said he would open it up and let us buy a glass. We finally sat down to enjoy our wine and I refrained from spitting it up on the ground. It was horrible! I would give this place 3 stars if it weren't for the unique surprise and surroundings. See this winery, yes. Drink the wine, if you're used to box wine from your youth I suppose.“

“What a great restaurant at the Bernardo Winery. It's the perfect place to meet up with friends for lunch before walking around the cute winery and do some shopping in the boutiques on site.

There are lots of outdoor tables to choose from and most are shaded. It opens at 11am and it was busy soon after. We went on a weekday too.
You can get wines from the tasting room or delicious coffee from Manzanita next door.

You order from the counter and your food will be delivered to your table. Everything we had was delicious though the pizza was a little on the burnt side from the wood fired oven.

Parking: There are two small parking lots and plenty of street parking.“
