“After apple picking, we like to walk across the way to Volcan Mountain Winery to relax for a few minutes and enjoy a glass of their yummy apple wine. They usually have live music and food vendors with plenty of outdoor seating. Price for a glass is $9 and $28 for a whole bottle. We typically will enjoy a glass there and buy a couple of bottles to gift.“
“We love Julian Station but lost a star due to the businesses not being open on Friday afternoon as advertised... other than Julian Hard Cider. Really unfortunate as we had a couple hungry kids and specifically chose an accommodation here because of the proximity to Julian Station and we did not want to drive around with them on this trip for food. The taco stand was not open. Only Hard Coder and thrift shop. It's a really cool concept when open, though!“

“Made another visit this weekend while we stayed overnight in Julian. Couldn’t decide between their delicious Sangria or their new Pinot Noir. Went with the Pinot and was not disappointed. Light for a Pinot but loved it. A nice light summer drinking red. Always a pleasant visit at the Blue Door.“
“Beautiful rustic winery with really good Zinfandel. Toni was really wonderful and showed us some of the beauties of the winery and encouraged us to come anytime we like just to sit and relax. Really chill old world ambiance not uppity like Volcan winery.“
