“What a wonderful experience!! Great atmosphere. Our waitress, Michelle, was absolutely calming and amazing!! There were six (6) of us and she tended to us professionally. She checked on us regularly as well. Honestly, it is the best service I have had in a long time!!!I will definitely come back and eat hear again!!Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp to push someone in a wheelchair. This ramp though is hard to maneuver but it can be done”
“What a nice sunrise to find very good Mexican food in Julian. We shared the enchiladas and they were yummy. The guacamole was excellent. I’m so happy we found this place.”
“Amazing food!!! One of the best sandwiches we have ever had. Very friendly. Great cookies. This is a wonderful hidden gem in Julian. You must go there when you're in town.”
“This barn has a very unique vibe to it. The owner is nice and the place is dog friendly. Ciders are on the sour side, we enjoyed the mulled cider. Overall a pleasant experience.”
“Friendly services and food orders came quickly. Beer was excellent. Food was OK, Brisket and Steak sandwiches were excellent and very cheesey but the rack of pork ribs were a bit dry and the pulled pork sandwiches were too salty.”
“The hard truth is, all of our pie places make great pie, we know bc we are locals. But the Mom's in Wynola is their actual bakery, and the crowds can be a lot more manageable here than "up" in Julian. Anyway, we stopped in with some friends recently when it was very busy and they were all pro and very nice to everyone. Are pie there again today. Wicked pie.”
“Good stop for lunch or to get a pie to go. Long lines at times. Staff can be slow and seating difficult during packed hours. Takeout available. Seating is limited. Street parking nearby.”
“The most delicious wine. So clean and lovely on the palate. Local, organic, no sulfites so no headache. I love the Rick's red lately. Smooth and easy on the palate. All of their wines are complex and vibrant yet complement the food without overwhelming.”
“Food was good. I bet the chili is amazing got the tri tip which was pretty good and the fish and chips which were good too. Take a hike beer was fresh good selections. Cole slaw is a ”
“We love Julian Station but lost a star due to the businesses not being open on Friday afternoon as advertised... other than Julian Hard Cider. Really unfortunate as we had a couple hungry kids and specifically chose an accommodation here because of the proximity to Julian Station and we did not want to drive around with them on this trip for food. The taco stand was not open. Only Hard Coder and thrift shop. It's a really cool concept when open, though!”
“Julian has some of the best food out there, very underrated in my opinion. After years of eyeing Jeremy’s, my partner and I decided to give it a try. Immediately we could tell we were in good hands, every staff member was quite friendly and helpful. Upon seeing the menu, we already were impressed with the variety of options. No matter what the budget, patrons can find delicious and high quality options. It took a while to decide because everything sounded so good. My husband got a whiskey with bitters, I got a glass of chardonnay; my husband was even asked if the bitters were to his liking. I cannot stress enough how attentive our server was. As an appetizer, we opted for the truffle garlic fries; OMG amazing and very unique. For dinner, I got the chicken schnitzel and my husband got the rib eye; we both were wowed. Food was so good we ate until we were stuffed and had no room for dessert. Needless to say it was an excellent choice to come here.”
“A perfect place for a snack with a view of the lake. The food was very nice and the service very friendly and pleasant. I prefer this to the highly commercial Julian ”
“Julian, was to me, back in the day, my favorite destination to spend a day with a special lady! The smell of apple pie in the fresh air, old town shopping, boardwalk lined shops, a corner drugstore, like the ones so many of us once visited, it had a 4 stool soda fountain, candy and snacks, next to skin lotion, soap etc. Many nice friendly people there treated us as guests. Julian is a lovely, cozy town; sightseeing was a joy!A quaint wooden Catholic Church stood at the top of a hill, just above my favorite dining place. Romanos was my prime destination for a Sunday drive. It had the look of a small home converted to a restaurant and bar. A waitress who served us on my first visit always complimented me every time I came I back, with,"Hello Karl, nice to see you again." The food was always delicious and served just like my mother would! One instantly felt comfortable there and at home. It was the perfect place to warm up from the fall chill and enjoy the wonderful aroma of cooking food.At the bottom of the hill, there was a Standard Station on the corner of the main cross street, which often was a gathering place for touring mororcycles. On the hill top across from the fire station was a turn of the century graveyard, right of Ichabod Crane and the Legend of Sleeping Hallow. It might remind some of an old miningtown from years ago.Thank you, special dear waitress, for a very being part of a many great memories. I am sorry I can not remember your name, God bless you and the owner's of Romanos!”
“Love, love, loved their food. The loaded nachos are to die for with the carnitas being very moist and flavorful. The salsa Omgee ?. We also had the pozole and the cheese quesadilla. First time going and for sure will be returning to try their fish tacos. The customer service was ? ?! The food was nice and hot, crunchy tortilla chips not stale, And you have a hard cider spot in front ?.”
“Stopped in last weekend on our way to the desert. The vibe is laidback and the beers are amazing. We grabbed an assortment of 5 oz pours and headed outside to enjoy the rustic patio. Amazing brews and friendly staff made this the best choice especially when Julian is loaded with tourist and you want to enjoy great beers and conversations with friends and no crowds. This brewpub is where I imagine the locals hang out. I'll certainly be back next time I visit the area.”
