“Great place, finally got to go!!! Good beer!!”

“Despite the intense California heat the cider was crisp and cold, and the bartender was polite and very knowledgeable. We had a flight of one of their 4 rotating ciders, each of which was strikingly different and enjoyable. It was a pleasure to drink here and to sample the variety of flavors julian apples can produce!”

“Clean, comfortable, delicious, what more could you ask for? This is excellent food in Julian, my only regret is not making it in sooner! The special today is carne asada fries, they are piled high with toppings, the fries are perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The margarita is super yummy too! We will definitely be back sooner than later!”

“The ambiance of the restaurant was amazing - it felt like a traditional but comfortable Italian restaurant. The music being played was really homey and nostalgic, the waiter was so extremely nice and friendly and accommodating, and the food was genuinely the best Italian food I can remember having - from the garlic bread to the pasta. I don’t know how their rating is lower than a five - it deserves above a ten! We’ve eaten at many restaurants in Julian and this is by far the best one.”

“2 miles out of downtown Julian on CA-79 is a gem of a family owned food stop. Our 10am brunch of savory homemade gravy over country busicuits, as well as our shared ham, egg, and cheese on an onions bagel, was extremely scrumptious, to say the least. Open until 4 pm, please stop by and enjoy the Julian Pit Stop. The owners personal attention assures a wonderful dine in or take out experience. Photos posted by other reviewers are up to date, the store ambience is so pleasing.”

“Purple owl is my families favorite cafe in Julian! They have fantastic coffee, some great grab and go items like parfaits and pastries, and BEST salads, tartines and crepes. So fresh and yummy.”
