Love this place! Summer or winter, you'll get a variable selection of delicious hard ciders. Check out the flight if you're feeling adventurous, or get a pint of the field blend if you want a perfectly-balanced traditional cider. Lots of picnic tables and shade, a beautiful bar inside the barn, and the friendliest servers.
Cool non sweetened local cider! Unique!
Despite the intense California heat the cider was crisp and cold, and the bartender was polite and very knowledgeable. We had a flight of one of their 4 rotating ciders, each of which was strikingly different and enjoyable. It was a pleasure to drink here and to sample the variety of flavors julian apples can produce!

Calico Cidery is a hidden gem nestled among the rolling foothills of the Julian mountains, offering traditional, local cider made without added yeast. Guests can enjoy their drinks in the expansive orchard with picnic tables placed around the apple trees or relax in the great indoor seating. The calm and peaceful setting with beautiful scenery is perfect for a relaxing day out, allowing visitors to unwind and enjoy the natural beauty of the surrounding orchards in the shade. Friendly staff provide excellent service. Dogs and all ages are welcome. With a variety of flavors to choose from, including classic cider and unique seasonal blends, there is something to suit every taste preference. The experience includes a cider tasting flight, making it an ideal stop. The family can spend 2-3 hours there easily. Calico Cidery offers a nice farm style country atmosphere, a little slice of paradise in the heart of the mountains.
