“Very popular place with long lines! I was surprised at the limited menu. Although the pie I had was good, it's not something I would stand in line for again. We got there in the afternoon, and they were out of some items. There are limited dessert places in the area. Parking was good.”
“Possibly the best artichoke dip I have ever had. I'm still thinking about it. And the "buffalo chips" its served with? Also had an amazing pizza called the Goat, goat cheese, oven roasted tomatoes, balsamic lemon olive oil on top with basil and the most delicious crust. Highly ”

“A great place to stop when going to Julian or Borrego Springs, or on a way back to San Diego. Very nicely decorated, great service and amazing views of the nearby nature preserve. It offers a great variety of baked goods including raspberry and cream cheese strudel, and their delicious take on raspberry macaroon made with coconut ??? Breakfast sandwiches are tasty too. Definitely recommend!”

“What a fabulous find. Everything was amazing. Best Rueben outside NYC. The salt and vinegar wings were perfectly done and perfectly flavored. And the salad was as yummy as it was pretty. We will come again next time we are passing through.”
“3/23/24 came here for the weekend to try out their famous apple pie and it was so delicious, due to it storming there was no seating inside or outside it was packed and I can see why. They offer cinnamon rolls, baked cookies, slice pies and whole pies plus different toppings to add on top. It was a great little town and this place had the best pie slices. Will be back when it’s better weather to enjoy in the area and not take home.”
“I cannot recommend this venue enough!! I had the honor of being apart of a wedding there and not only is this venue absolutely gorgeous but the team behind the scenes are outstanding! Ellie gave such a great tour of the venue and knew all of the answers to our questions and Sam the venue manager was there at the event the whole time making sure the day went flawlessly. They all went above and beyond our expectations. Great venue and an even better team that handled everything to perfection! I will be recommending this venue to everyone who is getting married!”

“Our favorite place to stop to eat in Julian - and that’s saying something since there is an abundance of yummy food! The food here is fresh and delicious with a cozy homey atmosphere. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve ordered here and I particularly recommend the corn chowder and green harvest soup!”
“We stopped at this place without knowing it, and it surprised us in everything, especially the fresh food and delicious coffee because of how cold it was. Everything is delicious.”
“A fantastic place to spend your time, easy going and friendly people feel like you're at the Promise land, You feel like their syrah is made for you. Point blank the best syrah I've had. A wine you could drink barefoot sitting on the hood of a Dodge or with the sweet bells of mercy drifting through the evening trees.”
“Awesome place the bartenders were great new alot about the place and what they had to offer! There ciders are crafted right there and are delicious, definitely worth a stop and a taste!”
“Love this spot! We went on a Saturday and enjoyed the super pretty view of the vines and hills, fun live music, friendly staff, etc. The wine is delicious! We did a tasting and ended up purchasing a bottle of the Aquarius and the and the Bellatrix. The owner was so friendly and brought out wine and a cheese plate for us. I definitely recommend!”
“Just stopped in for a latte but my husband couldn't resist the sound of the mushroom crepe and man, was it good. We split it, it was huge and packed with flavorful mushrooms, onion (but not too many because I'm not a cooked onion lover) and yummy cheese. The crepe itself was fantastic too. It was a struggle not to try other things. I don't think you can go wrong here. Great service too!”
“Hanging out for some local live music and the COOLER is a pretty awesome spot to get some cold beer hang out with cool people and the bartender Talia is as sweet as some of the beverages she servesKid-friendliness: Lots of board games and blocks cornhole out back lots of space to run and be loud without annoying people”
“Cute little tasting room in an indoor mini mall. Sommelier knew his stuff and let me pick from a wide selection of chocolates locally sourced from Carlsbad. Yum!”
“The hard truth is, all of our pie places make great pie, we know bc we are locals. But the Mom's in Wynola is their actual bakery, and the crowds can be a lot more manageable here than "up" in Julian. Anyway, we stopped in with some friends recently when it was very busy and they were all pro and very nice to everyone. Are pie there again today. Wicked pie.”
“Popped in here while waiting on our food from another place. Ended up staying here and ordering food, eating, and saving our meal from the other eatery for later. The food was exquisite. The BBQ was perfect. Crispy skin on the chicken, juicy, tender and full of flavor on the inside. Atmosphere was so fun. Staff was lively and engaging. Could have sat here with my wife all day. Really enjoyable.Kid-friendliness: Families with kids and pets and plenty of space.”
“Spent the weekend at a rb&b above a Mexican restaurant. It was very cozy had a kitchen 2 bedroom 2 pull out sofa beds. Fireplace, ac, heaters, lots of blankets baby fold away crib. Big bbq grill on the terrace. Lots of little shops around. Loved it. With one minor exception the TV did not want to work so we couldn't watch it. Probably their internet.”

“What a good cafe and bakery! We had the chicken turnover with garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw. We had to wait for a table - but so worth it! Definitely a must visit!”
“This place is worth the wait. Though the line is sometimes long, it goes really fast. They are so sweet and they care of us bedraggled hikers. I cannot state enough how much their kindness meant to us as we hobbled in off the trail. I will for sure come back with many more people. Absolutely wonderful place with wonderful pie and cider.Dietary restrictions: They had a couple gluten free options. ☺️”
“Welcoming downtown location with sunny patio, very friendly staff and delicious plant-based goodness. I had a tasty and beautiful breakfast skillet. Highly recommend!”
“It's becoming more rare to find restaurants that have great service and great food at reasonable prices. The Par lounge has both. Combined with a full bar and live music on specific days, this place has become my favorite place to visit. Highly recommend it.”
“This place is awesome. Lots of outside seating. Had a cider house, winery, brewary and a burger spot. What more can you ask for. Check this place out. Really cool spot.”
“We've been shopping and having tea/lunch at the Julian Tea and Cottage Arts for over 20 years. The food is yummy, and there's a good selection of merchandise.”
“Definitely the BEST place to get pie in town!! Their breakfast sandwiches are perfection. I love everything they have to offer and their customer service is amazing. I always recommend this place to anyone visiting.”
