I'd thought about trying Mom's for years and finally did just recently. My friend and I both had the apple-cherry pie, with ice cream. It was simple and delicious. The menu is simple, just slices or whole pies, with or without ice cream. They also have a selection of drinks. It feels like a fine, family run business.

Delicious pie! Worth to stop and try it. The service was great and fast. For some reason tap water in Julian tastes weird to me but here they have a filtered water station where you can grab water for free and refill your bottles. Try the strawberry rhubarb strawberry pie! Such vibrant flavors, great balance from the sweetness of the strawberries and the tartness of the rhubarb.
