“I am local San Diego Photographer and Photographed hundreds of Weddings and Events! Milago Winery is amongst the most beautiful Winery/Wedding Venues in Southern California in my opinion! That is not even the best part, the venue Event Cordinator Samantha is awesome she so positive, and she is always making sure her Bride, staff and Vendors are well taken care of!!! Top notch service that makes people feel a part of a team and that moral goes a long way in this industry and the clients "Bride" reaps the reward! I can not express enough how important that is! “I recently had the pleasure of staying at an AirBnB on the property of Vina Ramona. Unfortunately, the hours of the tasting room didn’t align with my stay, but the experience was made exceptional by the kind gesture of the owner, Ben, who dropped off a couple of bottles for me to take to dinner at our friends’ home during our trip. We were able to try the Chardonnay and the Red Blend, both were amazing, but the crispness of the Chardonnay made it my favorite of the two.
I wish that our schedule could have allowed for the full tasting room experience, sitting out in the vineyard with a glass in hand and taking in the scenery. The serene setting, surrounded by lush vines, would have made for a perfect afternoon of relaxation and wine enjoyment. When I make it back to Ramona, I will make sure my travel allows time at the tasting room at Vina Ramona.“

“A very large group of us visited Sky Valley Cellars in December. The weather was exceptional, the wines were the best I’ve had as far as local vineyards and the views are just Beautiful,,,,The hospitality was the warmest, and I highly recommend this place.“

“This winery was such a pleasant surprise! We were on our way back from Julian and decided (very much) on a whim to veer off the road when we saw a sign for wine tasting. Didn't know what to expect, but glad we stopped - gorgeous views, beautiful tasting room with big windows, outdoor seating with shade, dog friendly, enjoyable wines, and friendly staff. We'll be back!“

“A fantastic place to spend your time, easy going and friendly people feel like you're at the Promise land, You feel like their syrah is made for you. Point blank the best syrah I've had. A wine you could drink barefoot sitting on the hood of a Dodge or with the sweet bells of mercy drifting through the evening trees.“

“We recently visited the winery for the first time. It was a very enjoyable experience! We were served by Jacque, who is quite a host and wonderfully friendly. We later met Susanne who sat and explained her journey into wine. All the wines were quite enjoyable! We took home a bottle of Negroamaro and Sangiovese. We suggest you try this winery. The wines and ownership make it worth the drive!“

“This was a wonderful place to visit. The owner, retired British chemist. John Saunders, is a very pleasant host. He will tell you everything you want to know about his wine making process. He uses at least eight different Italian grapes which I counted. A few of the wines were a little too dry for our taste, but the BPx and the newly minted Barbera were excellent. The view is spectacular as well. Best value tasting out there for sure.“

“Been driving by this Winery for the last several years and decided to stop. Sure glad we did. Proprietor is a very interesting gentleman to talk to. A lot of very interesting artifacts on the property. Couldn't choose which wine to buy so purchased 4 different bottles. Can't wait to go back.“

“I have to say that Doug and Sue makes this winery a must visit. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and they both sat right down with our group and visited with us.

You don't get that sort of personal attention and friendliness at many businesses anymore. We learned a lot about their very interesting life from racing cars to owning a winery down in Valle de Guadalupe (Baja Mexico) before settling down here in Ramona.

They have a nice wine tasting menu with generous pours. We like their Malbec.
Oh! And they have wine slushies too! Those were delicious and perfect on a hot day.

They have comedy shows and lots of other events that take place at their winery. I hope to make it back out to their winery again soon.“

“Hosts are very extremely friendly. Raffa is a Dear and Antonio was wonderful. The food was delicious. The pizza is to die for. Their Sangria is a must have. Will definitely visit again.“

“What I think is happening with all the 5 star reviews for this winery is that they're all based on the Art and atmosphere. Which are incredible and I definitely encourage everyone to check this winery out for that sole purpose. However, one must also leave a review in regards to service and the wine itself. Upon finding the random corner for a tasting, the guy said it was over and the two remaining bottles on the counter was what was left. I asked if I could purchase a new bottle and he said he would open it up and let us buy a glass. We finally sat down to enjoy our wine and I refrained from spitting it up on the ground. It was horrible! I would give this place 3 stars if it weren't for the unique surprise and surroundings. See this winery, yes. Drink the wine, if you're used to box wine from your youth I suppose.“
