“A Hidden Gem in an Office Park: A Night at The WineSeller & Brasserie You wouldn’t expect to find a culinary treasure tucked away in an office park, but The WineSeller defies all expectations. Downstairs, it’s a literal wine cellar where patrons can store their own bottles. Upstairs, you step into a dining room that feels like a delightful throwback to the ‘90s—nostalgic in the best possible way. What made our experience truly exceptional was the personalized seven-course tasting menu. Our friend had a collection of his own wines stored there and gave them to Lisa, the warm and welcoming owner. She and Chef Oscar then crafted a menu specifically to pair with those wines. The result was simply unforgettable. Every course was amazing, but a couple stood out as pure genius. One highlight was a half lobster served two ways: one side topped with beef tartare, the other with lobster tartare. As someone who loves tasting menus, I was blown away by the creativity. Another standout was the clams with chorizo in a broth that was just out of this world. And who knew chicken could be so extraordinary? The chicken roulade was unbelievably tender and flavorful. Finally, the venison with mole sauce was cooked to absolute perfection and left us all speechless. Chef Oscar’s talent and humility shone through each dish, and Lisa’s hospitality made the night even more special. While we didn’t try the regular menu, I have no doubt it’s just as delightful. “The beers were good and the atmosphere was also excellent. There was a private event in the 'dance hall' so can't comment on that but those folks seemed to be having a good time.
The food options were good. I had the loaded nachos with BBQ pulled chicken. Pretty good.

“This place was a surprise. I went to watch the UFC fight since it was the closest place to my house showing the fight. This place may become one of my new weekend night without the kids hangout spots. Approximately 7 pool tables, good beers on tap, and a patio in the back to smoke and vape. Atmosphere was good, easy to make a few acquaintances while watching the fight and no issues. Check it out if you're in the area“

“Great hotel restaurant & bar! 🙌 I stayed at this hotel for a couple weeks for work. I had the buffalo wings, burger & fries, carnitas tacos, and garden salad with chicken. I highly recommend them all. All were very tasty/well made and I was pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes.

A huge highlight of our experience was the staff, especially Samuel. He was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable on drinks, and made great conversation. He’s a great addition to the Country Inn & Suites staff.“

“Been going to Kelly's for a few years now and mad a few friends here. The ladies behind the bar are all friendly, gorgeous and good people. I never have an empty glass when at Kelly's and prices are affordable.

Kelly's has fresh popcorn but doesn't serve food. There is a Mexican Take-out next door though if you get hungry.

“The Miralani Makers District has such a great energy — creative, vibrant, and full of possibility. With multiple food and drink options all in one spot, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to keep coming back to until you’ve tried everything.
On this visit we hit two spots: Cui-Daore for sushi and All Things Ube for dessert — both absolutely delicious. We also grabbed drinks from Jaunt Coffee, which served up smooth, aromatic beverages that hit the spot perfectly.

“Its a locals dive bar.. what you'd expect cheap drinks and plenty of good people to talk with. This is what I look for in bars. If you want bougie overpriced drinks and spotless atmosphere go somewhere else and save this gem for locals. Good place to enjoy a few after work and watch sports and people play pool. Bartender was quick and handled a packed place by himself. Will definitely come back.“

“I really want to absolutely love this place but I’ve come in twice during karaoke and had to leave due to headaches caused by the sound system being way too loud or not mixed well for higher harsher tones. Never left a review like this but hoping it helps. I want to come back and not have to leave because my head hurts. Hope you guys can figure out the sound a little better. Love the place though!“

“We had a birthday dinner for my one year old son and the staff was so accommodating and friendly and as usual, the food and drinks were incredible! They put in my son’s food order right away, offered him berries for his birthday dessert and they didn’t rush us out (we were a party of 9). “The Alibi is no longer, it is now the Malt House. What a refreshing difference. From the lighting to the layout this place is fab. They have pool and shuffle board and plenty of TVs for all of the sports fans. The bartender that I met is Eric and he is a really nice guy. He is courteous, sociable and efficient, these are qualities all bartenders should have. For those of us who were not regulars of the Alibi were not treated very well by the night bartender Laura. Well, she's no longer tending bar and it's a whole new atmosphere. If you're going to Santee or even just passing through I recommend a visit to the Malt House. Oh, I almost forgot, the bathrooms and patio that were in desperate need of an overhaul were remodeled, job very well done. I will definitely be patronizing the Malt House more often.“

“Out of the blue, craving spaghetti and meatballs. Did a google search in traffic and saw good reviews for Filippi's. So glad we stopped. A bit off the main road, seemed like it might be closed, but it's just tucked away in a corner.

The food was excellent. Good prices. Place was dark, but cozy. Service was a little bit of a wait to get seated, but it gave us time to look at all of the COOL photos on the walls. History here!

Regulars in the place, lots of friendly energy, and a very welcoming team. Like a hidden gem. We will definitely be back. Bread awesome, meatballs and spaghetti yummy, as was the ravioli.

Looks like they sponsor tons of baseball teams, families would LOVE this place. Nice patio for anyone not liking the cool dark bar seating (comfy booths!). So glad we gave it a try.“

“A good tiki bar with a fun way to get in. Upper mid tier quality drinks. I'd say their bar program is above average for the tiki/vacation bars in SD. In my experience their drinks lean on the tart and/or boozy side of how tiki drinks go as opposed to some bars that emphasize sweetness or Spiced flavors.“

“This restaurant has always been a long standing favorite of mine for late night Korean food, karaoke, and cocktails. The vibe is just a chill place for you and your people’s to hang out. Staff is always helpful because it’s always packed.

It’s been standing for as long as it has because it’s that good and consistent.
