“We had a wonderful time at Cays this weekend. I was joined by two sisters and my daughter. We sat al fresco. We ordered the following: 1 bottle of Pellegrino, 2 teas, 2 martinis, a Tito Mule, an order of brocolini, 2 patatas bravas, 1 pan con tomate, 1 burger, and Spanish cheese and meats. Total without the tip was 151.93. Yes, a bit steep, but you are in Coronado and the views are very nice. Our waiter was efficient and he was friendly. I have had many meals at this hotel (I am a local) and I have to say most of the time I have been very satisfied. I would highly recommend Cays. I wish to stay in this hotel one day...“

“My husband and I had the absolute pleasure to dine at Juniper and Ivy for our 33 year anniversary. Not only did they have special menus for us, but we had a complete and very special experience start to finish. The staff were so welcoming and knowledgeable. We had what I would consider the best seats in the restaurant. We sat up at the kitchen bar, and were treated to an amazing dinner and “show “ The kitchen crew were so impressive and friendly to each other and us. We had such a great experience, that we canceled reservations at another restaurant on the same block for later in the week, so we could come back and try more. Same amazing experience at the next visit. Highly recommend, when we come back to SD we will prioritize another visit. Thank you so much for such a great experience!“

“If you’re looking for the ultimate sports bar experience in San Diego, Paradise Lounge & Grill absolutely delivers. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is electric—perfect for catching a game with friends or just unwinding after a long day.
The food is top-notch, with a menu that goes way beyond typical bar fare. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and served fast. The drinks were just as impressive—great selection, perfectly mixed, and reasonably priced.
What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing.
Big screens everywhere, great vibes, amazing food, and outstanding service—Paradise Lounge & Grill truly sets the standard for what a sports bar should be. Easily a 5-star experience. Highly recommend!“
“Vegan options for me with gluten free options for my daughter with an amazing Wednesday music duo that we would love to go back and listen to! Very nice people working at this restaurant. Really enjoyed our dinner and our night out!“

“The seaport village location is the bomb.com. Service is excellent. We had reservations. Still had a little wait on a Sunday afternoon. The food is hot and very good. Not a fan of the LaJolla location. Although our server there was fantastic!! It was just to hot in there. Like they were afraid to run the AC? We will continue to patronize the Seaport village location only. The parking is always a challenge!!“

“We are from “the beef capital” of Australia and discovered The Lion’s Share during SDCC 2023. My husband has very high standards when it comes to meat (his family owned a cattle property) and he could not fault a single dish. We tried camel sausage for the first time and were amazed at the flavor. Every dish was delicious, and make sure you try the brussel sprouts. A restaurant that specializes under exotic meats that can make brussel sprouts that delicious is doing something right! It is our must visit restaurant when we visit San Diego“
“My wife and I went to the restaurant thats inside the Sheraton Tower 3. It’s called Shorelight. Best decision ever! Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures of the food that we ordered. We had the hot and honey jumbo chicken wings. Unbelievably savory! We also ordered the meatball sub. Huge sub! Fresh mozzarella, marinara sauce, and comes with either a salad, fries, or fresh fruit. Dalton is the bartender who took our order. Great guy and very helpful!!“

“My bestie and I went to Aero Club Bar for the first time last weekend. It had come highly recommended by many of our friends and it absolutely lived up to expectations! This place has a variety of spaces, all with their own unique atmosphere and awesome lighting. Such a variety of games but my favorite area was the patio bar where we met the sweetest Bartender, Megan! She was such a kind soul and mixed us the most incredible cocktails! We will definitely be back to visit the games, drinks and Megan @ Aero Club 💕
PS There is a rubber ducky crane machine and I got me and my friend rubber ducky souvenirs 😆 coolest bar ever!!!“
“The Catalina Lounge has been our "football hang-out" for the last few weeks and we've had a BLAST. Speaking of Blast-From-The-Past" we found two of our favorite bartenders here Brie and Brandon working the football crowd. It was refreshing to see that they remember all of us as soon as we walked in (by name!!!!) and what was also awesome they remembered what we drank, talk about those two making us feeling special. The ambiance on Sunday's is football, football, fun, and good times. During half time my husband and his friend like to play pool and additionally they put out some good eats (for FREEEEEEEEEEE) - yesterday it was nachos, 7 layer dip, juicy full size hot dogs (not the cheapies) and some yummy cookies and cakes. I don't know any other bar that goes that far. If you enjoy your SunFunDays watching games with friends (or by yourself, people are extra friendly there) having a ice cold beverage of choice and a GREAT time head on over.....Thanks AGAIN Brie and Brandon- you gave 10 PLUS service yesterday, see you NEXT Sunday!“

“Great atmosphere with nice view of the bay for the sunset. Good selection of quality spirits and beers. About six or seven options for food which are appetizers. However, if you want food from downstairs, then you would have to go to the restaurant as they do not cater.“

“Walking back into SRO after years away felt like slipping into a memory you did not realize you missed — a soft, familiar glow, the buzz of conversation, and the kind of warmth that settles into your shoulders the second you walk in. This isn’t just a neighborhood bar; it’s one of those rare community anchors where the energy feels lived-in, loved, and completely unfiltered.
SRO has long been a haven for San Diego’s transgender and LGBTQ+ community. It’s the definition of a classic dive: no pretense, no attitude — just real people, real stories, and that easy, comfortable vibe you cannot manufacture. The pool league keeps things lively, the bartenders keep things relaxed, and the regulars create a sense of belonging that feels almost immediate.
After working in another gay bar in this neighborhood for over two decades, returning to SRO was surreal in the best way — I recognized faces I hadn’t seen in years. That kind of continuity is rare. It tells you everything about the heart of this place: people come back, and they stay connected.
If you’re looking for velvet ropes or curated aesthetics, this isn’t that bar. But if you want authenticity, comfort, laughter, and a place with a heartbeat — SRO is the kind of spot that becomes home without you even trying.
Highly recommended, especially if you appreciate a bar with real soul.“

“We were in downtown San Diego yesterday for a bachelor party with 19 of us, and the night completely changed thanks to the guy outside. A tall, tattooed gentleman approached us, super friendly, confident, and genuinely engaging. We were actually headed to another spot, but he had such good energy and made us feel so welcome that he convinced us to give his bar a shot. Best decision we made all night.
He personally hooked us up with champagne bottles and great drink deals (we ended up spending a lot of money there), you could tell he was single handedly packing the place with his hustle. I’d been to this bar a few months back and it was pretty dead, but last night it was buzzing, clearly because of him.
Huge shoutout to him for making the night unforgettable, and props to the bearded bartender and the blonde bartender as well, they kept the vibe going strong. Thanks for an epic night!
We will also be back to try his favourite dishes there, aguachile and wagyu burger.“

“Stayed for a week at Hotel Republic. Trade restaurant is right next to the reception area inside the hotel. The hotel charges a daily 25$ fee and one of the perks from that is you can eat either at this restaurant or Topside on the floor above, with 25$ daily refund, even the morning you checkout - just need to charge it to your room. I was always having proper meals outside, but showed up 4 times during my stay here just to get something extra. Really liked their soup of the day - it was creamy potato the night I went. The steak fries plate is very oily and a huge size too. The breakfast burrito was okay. The hummus was really good. The staff are all very friendly.“

“Having walked to the end of the promenade we called in to the Hilton and asked at the restaurant where the best place to order a drink would be. We were directed to the Pool Bar – a delightful area outside with comfortable seating. We ordered iced tea and when we asked for the bill we were told that there was no charge. Most impressive.“

“I had a nice 4-star dinner at Albaca at the Marriott on Coronado Island. I ordered the fish tacos and they were tasty with a good sauce and fresh flavor. The only disappointment was the very small amount of chips that came with the dish, which made the plate feel a bit skimpy for the price.
Service was good and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout my meal. The views from the restaurant are very good and definitely add to the experience. Overall, a solid spot with great views and good fish tacos, just wish they were a little more generous with the chips.“
