“Wonderful French bistro with great food“

“While searching for a place to have dinner off property during our holiday, we came across Jolie online. The reviews were excellent and the dinner and service didn’t disappoint. Owner Molly was welcoming and Jack, our server was wonderful too. We met chefs on vacation who had come twice in a week to eat there too. Don’t walk, run. But get a reservation, seating is limited.“

“This is a cozy place that offers excellent food. Everything we had was excellent. The Sweet Corn and Pinion Soup, Patatas Bravas, Pork Adovada, and the New Mexico Mini Burger were all delicious. The dessert was out of this world. Chocolate Pots de Creme. Highly recommend making a reservation as this cozy place is very busy, but worth it.“

“If you are looking for a true Italian experience in San Diego, look no further than Vinarius! We worked with Giuseppe (owner) to host our wedding celebration here back in March, 2023. From the beginning, he was amazing to work with. Incredibly positive and accommodating from the start, we couldn’t have asked for more. The wedding ceremony was planned to be outside and of course, it rained that day. Guiseppe and his staff went above and beyond to accommodate us, allowed us to have the small ceremony inside the restaurant on short notice and made an incredible meal to follow. Our guests were blown away and we couldn’t have been happier. We recommend Vinarius to everyone we know and that is thanks to Giuseppe and his awesome staff. Grazie mille!“

“Juan Jasper Kitchen & Wine is an absolute little gem that delivers an incredible dining experience from start to finish. Everything we ordered was perfectly cooked, showcasing wonderful attention to detail, and the daily special was an absolute standout.

The staff is genuinely friendly and attentive, making you feel instantly welcome, and while the restaurant is small, it's very clean and cozy. Parking in the area is surprisingly easy, which takes away any pre-dinner stress.

The only drawback was our seating outside the rail, which put us right on the sidewalk where a particular passerby kept pacing back and forth, and we had to deal with quite a few flies during our meal. However, neither of those things is the fault of the restaurant and it certainly didn't overshadow how fantastic the food and service were. I highly recommend them!

“My wife and I went to this cozy place for dinner based on a recommendation. GOOD CALL! Our server was pleasant and checked in on us to make sure we were happy. The food was delivered fast and hot. We shared the 16 oz. T-bone steak. It came out pre cut, ready to share. We also ordered a wonderfully great big salad and a wonderful empanada with beef. The empanada was pleasantly spicy, but not overly. The steak came with lovely potatoes. We also ordered a side of broccolini. I’m not a big veg guy, but I have to say the broccolini was delicious. All said the meal wasn’t the cheapest, but was worth every bite.“

“I ended up visiting this wine store while I was in the area and had a pretty good experience. The selection was bigger than I expected, with bottles at different price points and a few things I hadn't seen before. The employee working there was friendly and gave me a couple suggestions without being pushy about it. The place felt clean and organized, which made it easy to look around. I picked up a few bottles and would probably come back again when I need something for a dinner or get together.“

“We stopped here just by chance and what a lovely experience we had. The place has a cozy indoor seating area and a delightful patio. Both areas have a nice atmosphere but different. The patio is more casual and relax. They have heaters and blankets for chilly nights and live music on Fridays and Saturdays. The musicians we had were very good: a couple of acoustic guitar players with chill selection of songs. We only had a couple of wine glasses and olives. The wine selection is pretty good, not too big but good variety and quality. Service was nice too, two young ladies very attentive but not intrusive.
A nice detail was the ladies bathroom. It’s so cute, with decoration of flowers and butterflies. A nice touch and I had to take a picture :)“

“Rumi is the cutest little spot. It’s so cozy, and they have such a great curated collection of fun wines, especially natural wines.

The staff is so knowledgeable and I just love stopping in with friends to catch up, have some snacks and a few glasses.

“Ever since Terminal 1 opened at SAN, we’ve been faithful customers at SIP, stopping in multiple times a month. Bianca our server is a huge part of why we keep coming back!

The food is fantastic, especially the Turkey Avocado Sandwich, it’s absolutely to die for! But what really sets SIP apart is the impeccable service. Bianca has gotten to know us over time and remembers our favorite drinks, what we like to order, asks about our grandkids and all those little details that make you feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated.

She is friendly, attentive, personable, and always makes our visits enjoyable. It’s rare to find someone who provides such consistently outstanding service, and Bianca is truly a gem!

“I cannot recommend Cucina Migrante enough! Do not go anywhere else – everything you’re looking for in a cooking event is right here! I treated my mother, sister, and younger nephew (age 13) to a cooking class at Francesco’s and Adisa’s home on 5/20/2021 and we still haven’t stopped talking about it! When we arrived at their home we were greeted warmly and invited to sit on their lovely outside patio while both Franceso and Adia brought out some appetizers including a flatbread, burrata with tomatoes, and two delicious hard cheeses. Within 5 minutes we were all relaxed and already having a great time. After about 30 minutes of Champagne (we purchased ourselves, but there was wine available throughout the class), Francesco and Adisa showed us inside their beautiful home and directed us to wash our hands and grab an apron. We did wear masks within the house, but we were all good with that as we’re still trying to be as careful as possible. We made fresh pasta with an artichoke sauce and chicken with dates and rosemary – both which were simple and delicious. I now know how to prepare an artichoke! My nephew, who loves to cook and bake, became the hit of the evening. Francesco and Adisa made him feel very welcome and worked with him closely to teach him how to make fresh pasta, as well as everything else. He had a blast! The adults also had a very memorable – we were taught new tips, had hands on experience, and just overall had a wonderful evening. We made memories as a family that will last forever. We had such a good time my sister has shared Cucina Migrante’s website with multiple friends and I will definitely be planning another event with them when I visit San Diego again in November. This is a must do activity! The ingredients were fresh, the menu innovative and fun, and Francesco and Adisa welcoming, kind, and fun! Also, we had food restrictions that were accommodated with no issues at all and I found the scheduling and planning of the event to be very easy. All my questions were answered and the hosts were very flexible. A hidden gem for sure!“
