“Great little restaurant, and one of the best for Italian food in the area.“

“Great food, excellent selection of wine to choose from. They let you pick anything from the bottle shop and enjoy it over dinner, but they charge a corkage fee for their own wine. That's poor. The restaurant is old and hasn't been updated in 20 years probably. Staff was friendly and made for an enjoyable evening but won't necessarily need to go back with so many other great options out there.“

“An absolute must in Encinitas! We had the mixed plate, patatas bravas and meatballs, and they were all delicious and great serving sizes. The wine was also great at awesome prices. Best of all, our waiter was fantastic and the outdoor patio was great. I really enjoyed my meal here!“

“My husband and I have been here for the very first time and we immediately fell in love with this place. The staff is amazing, they know how to treat you and make you feel at home. Alice is very passionate about her job and we loved her homemade desserts sooo much. A special mention to Michele, a very young yet extremely professional waiter, who contributed to create a cozy and pleasant atmosphere! As Italian, I can say it's hard to find place such Alice's where you feel so vividly the warm of our country. We will definitely come back!“

“Best bartender around! She was lovely, never missed a beat and made a fantastic Old
Fashioned. The food was incredible! Steak cooked to perfection, added on to an amazing salad. I actually came back the next day for the same salad to put some home cooked trip-tip on. 5 stars across the board!“

“We love our neighborhood go to spot for excellent wine and beer choices and perfect bistro food: salads, small plates, flat breads and out of this world cheese boards. Lucky to have so close and with such friendly staff!“
“A complete gem! North County is an outstanding source for all things wine, but even better is their boutique wine bar to have a glass with friends or the owner. Like a small Napa winery without the vineyard. Jim is beyond friendly, knows everything there is to know about wine without being snooty. The perfect fit for the neighborhood and for San Diego. Best alternative to the big box wine store. I love the little outdoor patio, and especially like sitting up at the quaint bar with my girlfriend. She likes the huge selection of wines. A must during Christmas and the holidays, but even better throughout the year because you can pop in for a minute or just relax for hours.“
“So glad we stumbled upon this amazing natural wine bar and restaurant ! We had a great experience! Adam was pouring us some great wines and the chefs ( Elliott and Kelly ) young married couple were very personable. The food was beyond anything else in Solana Beach and let’s just say San Diego in general. Produce is coming from Chino farms ( the best family owned in town ) ! The chino tomato salad , octopus with roasted potatoes and chimi , Roastes summer squash with saffron , lamb with couscous greens and peppers , oh my we were blown away with the flavors and wondering why this place didn’t have a line out the door ?! They also do a great Sunday brunch and have outdoor seating . Don’t miss out , check them out you will bra regular just as I am“

“I recently hosted a wedding shower here and it was absolutely perfect! The space was just what I was looking for and the food was amazing!! Carrie and Annie communication was spot on and they helped make sure everything was prepared for when I got into town. On the day of the event the employees paid attention to every detail which made the event flow seamlessly. I would highly recommend OAK & elixir!“

“Another great meal! We went to brunch today and it was excellent. We had the corn and lobster soup which was amazing. We also had the halibut and the chicken salad sandwich and both were very good. The quality keeps up time after time and the setting is classy and upscale.“

“Rosinas is consistently excellent authentic Italian food. The only food downside ( which is why I gave Food a 4 out of 5 rating), is their Ceaser salad...it is consistently bland, really watery, and tasteless...such an unpleasant surprise given that ALL of the other salads are so delicious, and ALL of the other food is delicious. Rosina, PLEASE update the Ceaser salad..it is really awful.“
“Visited for a special event dinner with Epoch winery from Paso Robles. The owner of the store was exceedingly gracious and friendly and the event was a great success. The store has a pretty wide range of wine offerings as well as local craft beers, with several exclusive/harder to get wines as well as more mainstream options. The store is admittedly "Paso-centric" in their overall portfolio, but the prices are consistent with what you would see at the wineries. They also have cheeses for sale at the front counter.“

“Great food! We had a large party of 7. Everything came out perfectly, they kept the drinks flowing and made sure we were a priority. Highly suggest anything on the specials menu, we had one of everything.
Kid-friendliness: My kid loved the buttered noodles with cheese.“
“We went for a cooking class with Ben. That was Great! We will be back for another. We had 2 great bottles of wine. Both were delicious. The staff was very friendly. The winery is really cute, and they have a coffee shop inside. We will be back.“

“Visited Monarch for late night dessert and drinks, and the experience was fantastic! The Crème Brulee was perfect, and the cocktails were equally impressive. The service was friendly and efficient. But what really sets Monarch apart is the atmosphere. With the gentle ocean breeze and upbeat, relaxing music, it’s the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy a laid-back coastal vibe. Whether you’re looking for a quick dessert or a cocktail with a view, Monarch is definitely worth a visit!“

“Pleasantly surprised. There are so many italian places close by. But cicciottis was above expectations. The pasta, gnocchi and pizza was so good. There was no one in the restaurant so we were confused it was even open. But the bartender was doing double duties as bartender and server and was very nice. We were so happy with the quality of the food. There's a few other Italian spots within a quarter mile and they are not nearly as tasty as this was. Bravo.“
“An historic building in Del Mar, CA attached to En Fuego Cantina & Grill, it operates separately opening Tues, Fri & Sat nights at 4:30 PM until 2:00 AM. The building was a Tea Room back in 1930, then an office, restaurants, including the modern En Fuego. The earthy warm wood colors all around make a relaxing ambience! Enter at the En Fuego upper street level and turn right. Enjoy!“
“We ordered the pastrami sandwich and the chicken panini. Both were great. Chicken was thick and tasty and the vegetables inside the sandwich were tasty too. The pastrami was lightly burnt around the herbs and spices edges just how we like it. Service seemed on par with a nice upscale steak restaurant (good thing) and decent selection of beer and wine (though we did not have any alcohol this time). The menu was priced according to a nicer lunch experience, so it's not the bang for your buck, but being able to have garlic fries instead of regular with no extra cost is a positive tick in the $$ column. We will have to come back for a glass of something!“

“Food has been consistently great for years and good service. Owners mostly retired -not as engaged anymore so lost some long time staff but still worth the trip. We order off the bar menu. Best duck in town, very good short rib. Hamachi appetizer is great“
“Local Roots Solana Beach: clean, modern, and friendlier than a dog at a barbecue! Work or play, have it your way with rotating kombucha and chef's sushi menu. Wifi, TVs and indoor outdoor space make it ideal for people watching or mingling. Just a heads up, it's a bit pricer with fewer options than nearby spots like Station Sushi, but hey, quality ain't cheap! ?? ??
Also agree with other reviewers, James is a cool guy. ?“

“Overall this was an excellent experience. The food was excellent. My family and I shared the Margarita pizza and sea bass. My son had a pasta dish that they made for him that was off menu. That was a nice touch. He had a pasta dish with sausage and a white sauce. He loved it. My wife and I shared the seabass and Pizza. The seabass was excellent, It was of a quality that surpassed their venue in my opinion. I loved the pizza. My wife thought the food was too acidic with too much tomato sauce. Now the food did have a lot of tomato sauce so keep that in mind for folks with sensitive stomachs. The Seabass did had a lot of tomato pesto sauce, however, I enjoyed it a lot. They also had a nice selection of Italian wine which I had two. They were excellent and matched the theme of the restaurant. For desert we had a chocolate gelato with a lava center. very delicious. Service was good and the main servers were Italian(I think) which added to the ambience. However, we asked for water to start and we were given a bottle to pour ourselves. For a casual/casual/upsacle they should pour it for you. Value was good but still a $188 bill with tip included. There are a few other local casual/upscale that have a slightly better value (Nicks Del Mar $174 w/tip 3 mains) but having pizza is a great change of pace. Overall Good experience. Ambrogio15 will be earning my future restaurant dollars.“

“When we arrived we found there to be a bit of a line for checking in on a Monday evening however once we got to the front and Rebecca helped us we forgot all about the wait. She was so thoughtful, thorough and professional in explaining everything to my mom and I. My mom is recently been having to use a wheelchair and Rebecca was so intuitive that she asked my mom if she might need some other medical devices to make her stay more comfortable. We didn’t even know they had these things available and they were already waiting for us when we got to the room. Shower chair and toilet riser. The place was beautiful, large luxurious rooms with fantastic amenities. My mom said it was the most beautiful place she had ever stayed which brought tears to my eyes. The only thing I would suggest is more handicapped parking spaces. We had to park some dip from our from in the 61 building and with a wheelchair and luggage proved a challenge but again the only suggestion I would make. We stayed in the cove area and yes there was construction but I was only during the daytime and we were made fully aware prior to check in. As for the small amount of noise from Lego land we rather enjoyed hearing the beautiful laughter of happy families enjoying each others company while make memories.“

“Sbicca seems to be our go-to when my friend and I stay in Del Mar, convenient, good Happy Hour and 1/2 wine bottle days. We were in Del Mar for an extended stay and ended up dining here 4 time, all for Happy Hour at the bar area and meeting friend for dinner on the street level patio area. Out of all the times the service from the Bar and Jose on the patio was excellent. This is a great place to meet friends.
As far as drinks go, the bar makes excellent Skinny Margaritas, Bloody Marys, Espresso and Regular Martinis and their 1/2 off wine days are great. Food has always been consistently good. The Mussels, Shrimp Fettuccini, Crispy Chicken Buns, Farm Burger, Salmon Crudo and the Meatballs all hot and fresh. The Mussels and burgers were excellent.
Atmosphere: nice relaxing vibe, both indoor and outdoor seating. Service: excellent at Bar & Patio. Food: good.“

“I took my family of four here for a birthday celebration. We ordered a tomahawk steak medium and when it came, it was rare. We sent it back to be cooked more. Once it came back, it was better l, but not completely. It was still rare in some parts and the kids didn't want anymore of it. At what they are charging, I expected more. also what happened to the au gratin potatoes? They used to be thinly sliced in a stack like a square and it was amazing. It's now a bowl of potatoes with cheese on top? This place isn't what it used to be in my opinion. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating.“
