While staying nearby, in downtown San Diego, we came to Coronado for the evening and stopped in here… We decided on The Tavern because of all the great reviews and this place definitely didn’t disappoint! The Tavern is located on the main street of Coronado a few blocks from the Famous Coronado Hotel. There is a long bar with a couple of televisions and lots of tables and booths. The brick walls and exposed pipes make it look like the restaurant has been there for a long time but actually it has been open for only a few years. Cool venue and delicious food! We had the pork chop and the filet mignon. Both were perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and the sauces were lovely. The Brussel Sprout appetizer was one of the best we've had, as well. We will definitely be back!
