“Salmon Kama was perfectly grilled. Really fatty and delicious. This place is underrated. Prices are great. Ingredients are super fresh. We also had the lemon glow and spicy tuna rolls and both were amazing. There was great service and good vibes all around. There was easy reggae playing and everyone was chatting and having a good afternoon! I know this restaurant is new, but I hope it becomes a mainstay in Hillcrest- it’s super good! If you don’t drink like us, you can have a multiple course meal for $30 per person 🤙“

“I sat at the bar and was served by Jon. Jon was super attentive and answered every question I had. Roger, the owner, was making my sushi and sashimi. The service by Jon and Roger were absolutely wonderful. The food was amazing, fresh, and each piece perfectly flavor balanced. I will absolutely come back here and bring friends. I cannot recommend Hane enough. The whole staff was friendly and greeted most guests that walked in by name giving me the impression that this place has a lot of repeat locals.“

Our waitress recommended the Cubic Filet Mignon Fried Rice, the Tijuana Roll, and the Tiger Roll, and every single dish was absolutely amazing. “Delicious all-you-can-eat sushi at Sushi Factory near SDSU! On weekends it’s $40 for the all you can eat and there’s a 2 hour time limit or 3 rounds of ordering. We enjoyed a lot of nigiri: bluefin, toro, scallop, salmon, yellowtail, ikura, surf clam, sweet shrimp, albacore, masago, eel, tuna. We also had the sashimi combo, the sushi rolls: sexy poke, Star Wars, and compa, the tonkotsu ramen, soft shell crab, takoyaki, eel & avocado and spicy tuna hand rolls, and shrimp tempura. Very friendly and attentive service. Recommend!“

“This Mexican-influenced sushi spot reminds me a lot of the sushi I’ve had in Tijuana. The food has that border-fusion style, and the restaurant has a nice atmosphere that feels more like a good Tijuana restaurant than a typical U.S. sushi place.
I really enjoyed the ramen, and the desserts were excellent—especially the churro-style tempura with cinnamon and ice cream. Service was okay but not outstanding; the staff is friendly and trying, though they could be more attentive. English is spoken well enough to communicate.
Overall, the food is the standout. Reasonably priced, good flavors, and a unique vibe. I’d definitely go back.“
