Dope Spot! Had the Clams Sakamushi, healed my stomach from my mistakes of day drinking. The paired sake with it was fire. Vibes on point, aesthetic was awesome! Looked so cool and a fun spot for some sake! We rolled up 8 people and luckily we were able to get seats but took but the long side of the bar.
First time here. We opted for the 5 full pairing experience where we get 5 sake with food pairing. See photos.
My fave is the Ufumayo and the clam sakamushi. I also really enjoyed the snow crab croquet.
It was a very unique experiencing a menu that tailored to a sake selection. We learned alot and tried some very interesting and plentiful sake. It was roughly $100 per person and well worth it.

Based on the reviews, SAKE BAR GAGA is an amazing omakase restaurant located inside a bakery with a hidden bar. The restaurant has a truly Japanese atmosphere, is very clean, and the ambiance is amazing. The food is delicious, affordable, and delicate, with magnificent food. All the fish were fresh and well dressed, with the ebi so fresh they were still jumping. The sake pairing makes the experience unique, and a glass of sake served with the meal made the difference. The service is great, and the people who work there are really knowledgeable and kind. There is a nice surprise at the end with dessert and pastries to go. It is easily the best omakase in San Diego and a must try.
