Delicate food with sake pairing makes the experience unique. A must try. I don't usually drink but the glass of sake served with the meal made the difference.

Amazing omakase downtown. Part of a bakery with a hidden bar also on premises. They have things dialed down and all the fish were fresh and well dressed. Nice surprise at the end with dessert and also the pastries to go.
I went there to celebrate my birthday! It was a restaurant with a truly Japanese atmosphere. I was able to relax and enjoy the food, and it was a wonderful experience. I was also surprised at how fresh the fish was. It was delicious. Thank you so much for kindly offering alternative ingredients for my allergy. I would love to go again.

Based on the reviews, SAKE BAR GAGA is an amazing omakase restaurant located inside a bakery with a hidden bar. The restaurant has a truly Japanese atmosphere, is very clean, and the ambiance is amazing. The food is delicious, affordable, and delicate, with magnificent food. All the fish were fresh and well dressed, with the ebi so fresh they were still jumping. The sake pairing makes the experience unique, and a glass of sake served with the meal made the difference. The service is great, and the people who work there are really knowledgeable and kind. There is a nice surprise at the end with dessert and pastries to go. It is easily the best omakase in San Diego and a must try.
