I went there with my mom and sister. The food was delicious! It was a lot of food too. We had plenty of food leftover. I'm hoping to go back soon.
Attended the soft-opening and I must say I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere, the clean modern and open space, live music, and most of all the quality of the food.
The new Italian restaurant will become a hot spot in Otay area right away. No need to go to Downtown or Little Italy any more to enjoy a quality and sophisticated date night dinner or family lunch.
Looking forward to coming back for more!

Garbatella offers delicious Italian cuisine in a beautiful restaurant, perfect for a romantic night out. The food is amazing. Specific meals mentioned include the black muscles and calamari, seafood pasta, Black Ink Pasta, clams and oysters, the pizookie for dessert, branzino fish special, White Wheel Cheese Pasta, Carbonara spaghetti, filet mignon tartare, braised short rib, and boscaiola pasta. The Carbonara spaghetti was creamy and rich in flavor with a generous amount of chopped meat. The White Wheel Cheese Pasta is prepared table-side in a big wheel of cheese and did not disappoint. There is a great wine selection. The live music is super nice and fantastic, with Carlos on the guitar also amazing. The service can be a little under par for the prices, though staff tries hard; one server, Val, was fantastic and served a large crowd with a smile and competence. The food is still worth it. Although the ownership has changed, the food remains amazing. The only downside is a distracting tv screen over the bar. Highly recommended.
