“My wife and I went here for a date night and we were glad we did. The bartender Rasheeda made the whole experience better for us. She was friendly, informative, and funny. The food was great but the service is what stood out for us. We can't wait to go back“

“The entire staff was amazing, from the beginning to the end. We arrived a little early so we waited at the bar, staff immediately offered us a drink while we wait. Once we were ready to be seated our server Ronn was an absolute delight, gave us recommendations and just overall great! Constantly checking in on us. The food was great! Appetizers were delicious. And the meat was cooked to perfection. First time going to this location, can't wait to go back.“

“This was my partners and I first time at the Remy. We had the small Mac and cheese with the porter house. 2 different sauces. They both were absolutely amazing. Especially the steak! We got the bread service and were a bit let down that although warm. It was a bit stale. We also got the beef tar tar. The bread that came with it was also a bit stale. Tar tar was great though as well as the bone marrow. I ended up getting the Remy's signature old fashioned and it was a delight. I will be coming back to try a different steak and the lobster Mac and cheese this time. But will pass on the bread and beer tar tar. i would like to add that our waiter, she was an absolute delight.“

“First off, the interior of Piedra Santa is stunning! So many details, and textures to take in. They play a mix of modern electronic chill music so we immediately felt at home. Mostly booths and chairs, all the seating was quite plush for a long meandering dinner with your date(s).
What also struck me was just how genuinely friendly everyone we interacted with was. While drinks were a little slow coming, and towards the end service wasn't quite as timely, overall Isai did an excellent job of taking care of us.
Food was superb! Their menu has so much deliciousness it was so difficult to choose! We started out with their warm sourdough with a black truffle butter candle. Very quirky but also delicious. It paired so well with their outstanding beef tartare which came with a bone marrow gravy, delicious. Additionally we couldn't resist an order of empanadas. Pork, chicken and beef, while all tasty, the beef had me falling in love.
Continuing our next course, we shared the tuna crudo. While beautifully presented, the amount and strength of the sauce almost overwhelmed the delicate flavor of the fish. Almost. Wedge salad was solid as well as their charred Caesar.
For dinner I had their filet special. A filet mignon cooked to a perfect medium rare, topped with two tender seared jumbo sea scallops, then a pile of French fried onions and a rich and creamy mushroom sauce. What a gorgeous dish that hit all the right notes, so indulgent.
Some honorable mentions; don't sleep on the beef cheek atop a creamy pool of cauliflower puree. Deep, rich beefy flavor, could have made this an entree. A close second was their pappardelle wagyu ragu, simply prepared but oh-so decadent.
With style, service and excellent cookery I'm smitten! Very much looking forward to returning for some time with their happy hour menu! Piedra Santa!“

“The service was great! In fact the owner Sarah was so friendly & graciously had a steak replaced when the first one wasn’t what one of our friends expected. Sarah was kind & professional. She was so pleasant & even brought a bottle of champagne to our table & personally served it at the end of the evening! Alex , our server did a great job as well! Thank you both for a wonderful evening & meal! ??“

“After traveling over 3K miles to San Diego, it was a huge disappointment at the North Harbor location. Ordered an expensive steak with sautéed mushrooms. The mushrooms weren't on the steak. Mentioned this to our server. She returns with a Cup of Mushrooms instead of taking the plate back to the kitchen to have the Mushrooms placed onto the steak. The other dish was served cold. Clam Chowder should've come first before the meal. The soup was Cold on top and Hot at the bottom. Needless to say that bit I ate, made me very ill. We purposely didn't eat that day just to have a memorable experience like the one I had back in the 90's at the LA Mesa location. Went to the restroom. The stalls were occupied except the Handicap one. The door latch didn't work. Couldn't close the door properly. There was No hand soap available. I usually carry a very small bottle of Dawn liquid soap in my purse just in case. That's how I washed my hands. . No water refills and, The place Ran Out of Coffee!!! Seriously? We were told that there was No More Coffee until the next morning!!! The Creamer was brought out in a Fast Food Wax Soda Cup. We were celebrating a Birthday. A slice of Chocolate Cake was dropped off at the table.. Nobody Sang Happy Birthday, Nothing!! A very Cold Ambiance, Unfriendly, felt Unwelcomed too. This is very Bad for Claim Jumper. The Staff is the first people the Customer sees and talks to. Staff Standing at the side of the Bar, Jilly Jacking while customers are trying to flag down the server, is Bad!! Too bad my uncle Anthony Ghio who was the owner of Anthony's Fish Grotto across the street from Claim Jumper, closed many years ago after Mrs. Ghio passed away. Anthony's is no longer on N. Harbor Dr. or we would've Dined there. Total bill was $145.00 Will Never Go Back!!!“
