About IMPERIAL STEAKHOUSE

Imperial Steakhouse & Bar in San Diego is a hidden gem that offers a classic, low-key dining experience. Known for serving the best steak, grilled octopus, and lobster Mac and cheese, the restaurant provides outstanding service and a friendly atmosphere. The staff are attentive, ensuring that food is cooked well, and the environment is peaceful, making it ideal for date nights or relaxing outings. The decor and music, though dated, evoke a nostalgic feeling of a simpler time, with a cozy ambiance enhanced by a red light fixture. The menu features a variety of great-looking items, including an 8 oz steak and the Dallas Filet, which is highly praised. Although prices are on the higher side, with steaks starting at $58 and sides sold separately for $10 each, the mashed potatoes and asparagus are tasty additions. The piano player and the friendly vibe make it a favorite bar for many, and it remains a special place for those seeking a memorable and intimate dining experience in San Diego.

Waitress was friendly, helpful, and not intrusive. Will definitely return to Imperial House with my steak-eating family,...read full review

It was barely 6pm and the waitress said they had run out. The restaurant was dead. Did notice a couple of people at the bar…not too many though…We ordered the imperial ribeye and the smallest side of mashed potatoes I’ve ever been served at a steakhouse and it was $75. I’m in customer service myself and I would...read full review
