“I wanted to share a great experience I had recently. I bought Bundtinis for my niece’s 16th birthday during our trip to San Diego. The front desk cashier noticed her individual cake had turned upside down, so they generously gave me that one for free and replaced it with a nicer one. They certainly didn't have to do that, but as out-of-towners celebrating a big milestone, we truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture. The treats were perfect for our beach day and everyone enjoyed them!“

“Beautiful, moist, delicious red velvet cake with butter cream frosting (which we requested custom because our 7-year-old is…well…7 and not a cream cheese frosting aficionado.)
Unfortunately, I have to deduct a star because the website doesn’t mention there also will be raspberry filling and our 7-year-old (who the cake was for) didn’t like it.

“Cold Stone Creamery Located in the charming Ferry Landing shops, Cold Stone Creamery in Coronado offers a sweet escape with a wide variety of ice cream creations, cakes, shakes, and smoothies.

We ordered the Cotton Candy and Peanut Butter flavors, both were delicious and definitely hit the spot! Each was $8.95, totaling about $17.90 for two small scoops, which felt a bit pricey for the portion size in my opinion .

There are some chairs and umbrellas just outside the shop, so you can sit and enjoy your treat while taking in the view.

There was a long line when we visited, and we waited around 15 minutes to order. Staff was friendly!“

“Best Coldstone in San Diego! Absolutely exceptional service! The owner, Leo, of this coldstone truly cares about quality ice cream and creating an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere of this coldstone is peaceful and the ice cream is extra creamy and delicious. This coldstone does not disappoint when it comes to the best ingredients and crafting the perfect ice cream. I always love my ice cream so much and it always puts me in a better mood. I have tried multiple coldstones in the area and I always come back to this location over the others. There’s something about the love they put into your ice cream cup or cone that truly makes a difference! “I’m usually not a fan of the tipping culture, especially at places like frozen yogurt or ice cream shops where you’re asked to tip before you’ve even had any interaction. But this Cold Stone changed my mind.

I didn’t catch the younger guy’s name, but he was exactly what customer service should be. He actually made conversation, asked how my day was, and didn’t just go through the motions. I know it’s a small thing, but if you’re going to ask someone how they’re doing, at least make it genuineand he did. That’s the kind of service that actually earns a tip.

The whole crew was friendly, the ice cream was great, and the experience stood out because of the people working there. Give these guys a raise, a promotion, or both. This is the kind of customer service more businesses need.“
