Tacos El Gordo isn't just a taco joint for us--it's practically our second home. We've made so many trips there that the staff probably have our taco preferences memorized by now. It's like our version of Cheers, where everyone knows our taco order. All the locations I've been to have the same ambiance, and set up. Finally got to try the famous tacos! We came around 4pm on a Saturday and found parking in the spacious lot in the back. The lines to order food were a bit busy so it took around 20 mins to get all my food. We ordered the carne asada, lengua, and adobada. I enjoyed the carne asada the most, it was so flavorful and delicious! The lengua was very tender and the adobada was good and flavorful, but a bit spicy for me. I would definitely come back if I'm ever in the area!

Their Adobada Mulas (pictured) make it hard for me to quit pork. ?My only weakness to eating pork is these Adobada Mulitas with everything on it. Squeeze extra lime and add that red sauce and you'll thank me later.This is the San Diego staple for late night Mexican food. I feel bad for tourists who come to San Diego and haven't had the chance to try Tacos El Gordo's tacos. It's a must!
