We arrived at 5:00 peak time apparently. Fortunately we got our table right away since we had a reservation. The bar order took quite long and then came back to tell us they ran out of Bud. So change ordered and drinks arrived. We waited quit long for food. Salads arrived followed by appetizers. Backwards order in my opinion. The fried zucchini was heavily breaded and no taste of zucchini. Each person in party took one bite and no one finished it. The surf and turf quesadilla was lacking the surf but rather tasty. The main course was the salmon which was rather dry and bland. Server had a patient attitude overall. Dinner took 2 hours. Server said “new system” in kitchen. Probably will be a long time before we return.

Food was great as expected. Service was slow. Long wait time to get our food . They needed more staff for the number of guests.

Even though we had a reservation, we ended up waiting 20 minutes to get seated. Then the waitress took another hour to bring us our food. The food was lukewarm and not very tasty. She was very poor service.

I am a regular customer of the Chula Vista Black Angus, I have always been pretty much satisfied with the quality of service and the food has always been very good.

Can't rate the restaurant appropriately because they canceled my reservation. I got a phone call 1 hour before letting me know they were closing for the night. Thank you for letting me know rather than me driving and finding out the hard way

My husband and I have dinner at Black Angus almost once a month. This experience is why we keep coming back. The food is consistently delicious, We usually split the 16 oz. prime rib dinner and add an extra salad and zucchini appetizer. Our server, Jennifer, was very attentive and brought the food out just as we finished the previous course which was perfect. It's one of our go to local dinner spots.

Always a very good experience, my wife and I enjoyed a quiet late afternoon dinner. She loved the Manhattan Sirloin special and my prime rib was cooked to perfection.

We got to the restaurant at 5:30, and our order was turned in at 5:50 and, at 6:30, we were still waiting for our food. No waiter, no manager. Finally, I saw the manager and relayed my story. He said he would look into it and finally at 6:40 we got our meal. No explanation, no apology, no problem-we won't go back!

Server forgot to bring us utensils, so I stole them from another table. Also offered me more ice tea, but didn't bring it until I asked again. But please note; it was very apparent they were understaffed that night, and the server had more tables than she should have. Nothing that happened was her fault.

Based on wait times. I payed on line and still had to wait 45 min for the food I ordered. The food was good but the wait time ridiculous! Also need to upgrade the place.

i would update the seating covers they were very torn down, overall experience was good. the server was very courteous.

The server, Josh, was very informative and attentive to our needs. We had no issues with the food or service. The dinner menu was available during the lunch period which was great.
