Canada Steak Burger

They do not tell you that they charge a 3.85% charge for using a debit/credit card. They do have a very small sign stating that they charge the fee. At the retailer I work for they charge 1.5% less. Another way to nickel and dime the consumer. I have been going to canada burger for the last 15 years and they have never charged a fee. Sorry canada burger this was the last time I am ordering from you.

I ordered a philly steak and cheese sandwich which was almost 20 dollars and there was barely any meat on it… when I say barely that exactly what I mean!!

Fantastic food and large portion sizes won me over. You leave your seat hurting from being so full trying to finish your plate! Great service and they actually smile at you when you order. We'll be going back for sure.

The new ppl really treated us with no respect I’m a regular here I hope the owner knows this about his new employees

Edit to respond to the owner: So you're telling me that the burger is more expensive a la cart than when purchased in a combo? What if I don't want a drink and fries? How does that make sense? Aren't you losing money by charging less for more food?

Original review: Called to order a gyro burger, and was told that I had to buy the combo because the burger is not sold by itself.

That is the most asinine thing I've ever heard. It literally makes no sense for any reason other than a greedy owner.

Great burger, but won't be back because of this stupid rule.

We ordered 8 ounce burgers, as a combo, the fries a little hard, the burgers a little dry, but the place is popular.

Unfortunately it was not my best gyro, I’ll stick to LunaGrill. And cashier was rude, giving many customers some type of snobby attitude. The place is ugly and nothing that I can think of that would make me want to go back. I Don’t recommend guys.

When I say this is the best burger I have ever had and better than any burger I have ever made. People may not understand how high praise that really is.
I came into the restaurant late at night, weary from a long day of driving and I couldn't believe how friendly the staff was
I ordered a burger which they made beyond perfection and really took great care of me making me feel welcome instead of rushed though it was near closing time
I'm not kidding at all when I say it's the best burger I have ever had and l've had all kinds of great burgers in my life

I will go out of my way to find this place again each time I'm down in the San Diego area

Wheelchair accessibility: I have just had double knee replacement on amusing a walker and they had a table to accommodate me as well as wheelchairs or electric vehicles

I have been eating at the University AVE location for at least 30yrs. As of today, the service is great... once in awhile ? some of the cashiers are not all there, but the food never disappoints ?.the Chesse burger with(med rare)the gyro meat, Philly Chesse are always on point. Like everything else lately ? the PRICES HAVE GONE UP. They are very pricey. I'm still coming by at least once a month. Great joint ?

This is the go to if you want a delicious burger cooked to order with fries that are nice and hot when you bite into them.. Kabobs are cooked just right and the salad is fresh, and crispy! Service is always friendly and the cooks will even ask how your day is going from the kitchen.. I order the 8oz combo with gyro and it never disappoints!
