So pleasant place with unique antique furniture. I got Santiago Tart Almond Cake which likely was Gluten Free, and Cappuccino with Oat Milk.

It was my first time here. I looked up the reviews and decided to try it out. Food & lattes were delicious 🫶🏼if you have time, dine in because the ambience was great. And you get latte art on specific drinks! Super cute 🥰

I am not sure why this coffee shop has good reviews.
Ordered a cold brew and tasted like cheap McDonalds cold coffee. Don’t waste your money here.
I also ordered a pastry and that was awful.

Despite being next to a McDonald’s, I’m glad I chose this location to grab breakfast. There’s plenty of parking and their menu is full of delicious choices. I got an egg sandwich on a cheese bagel with pesto mozzarella and spinach. I also got an iced chai with oat milk. The prices are definitely higher than fast food but well worth it. On a Saturday afternoon the space was not full but had several patrons meeting while enjoying food and beverages. I also saw people come and take things to go like me. I love the inspirational quotes and scriptures on the wall. It feels like a fun family run environment. Highly recommend

Cool Down Coffee - Chula Vista, San Diego
Visited on: November 11, 2024
We stopped by Cool Down Coffee for breakfast, hoping for a nice start to the day, but unfortunately, it turned out to be disappointing.
We ordered two Americanos, a cream cheese bagel, and a croissant. After taking a bite of the bagel, we noticed a large hair embedded in it—an instant red flag for hygiene.
I returned it to the counter, where they replaced the bagel but only offered a very minimal apology without any other attempt to make up for the experience.
The baked goods seemed store-bought rather than freshly baked on-site, which detracted from the quality.
Additionally, I observed that one of the men working in the kitchen had noticeable long hair and wasn’t wearing a hairnet, which likely contributed to the hygiene issues.
To top it off, the prices were surprisingly high for the quality provided.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend Cool Down Coffee due to both the hygiene concerns and the unremarkable quality for the price.
Better options are likely available nearby.

Food was delicious! Hazelnut Iced Coffee is was good. Latte was great according to my significant other. I had the Pesto with Spinach sandwich on Jalapeño Bagel and it was DELICIOUS!
Atmosphere is quite relaxing with Bible verses scattered around. Beautiful pieces covered the cafe giving it, it's own type of charm. On the other hand, sitting at the bar style area. You're looking at the bus station constantly in work which favors the business! However, the homeless is very sad. We did give our leftovers to a homeless man outside. EVERYONE NEEDS TO EAT ??
Once the food was ready it was delivered to us on plates. Food, mentioned before, was very delicious. I do plan on going back.
All of the order was a little pricy, but we did get some upgrades like chips and potato salad. Roughly $43 excluding tip.

Amazing sandwich, super sweat staff, beautiful music
The atmosphere was fantastic, with a super chill and friendly employee. The prices were very reasonable, and most importantly, the coffee was excellent. Unlike many places with a great vibe but disappointing coffee, this one really delivers. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area or just passing through.
