This is one of the best taco spots in San Diego. And Jesus is a class act. The food is incredible, they have items on their menu havent seen anywhere else in SD and everything we have had tastes amazing. We had the pleasure of ordering cabeza de rez for a group of friends and it was so exciting. The staff is incredible and hard working, the food is fantastic. We come here almost every weekend.

We haven't lived in San Diego in many years and we were looking for a new taco place to try during our vacation. This place was recommended online. I saw it was in Chula Vista rather than some trendy neighborhood so, figured it would be authentic. The exuberant owner greeted us and talked about his menu and made recs. We had several tacos, all great. I loved the chorizo Verde but they were all good. The flan and crepes were also great. Highly recommend

Tacos El Único in Chula Vista was a great experience! I ordered an order of cabeza, and it came with consomé and warm tortillas—everything was super flavorful and satisfying. The meat was tender and juicy, and the consomé was the perfect touch.
We also tried the tripa tacos, which were crispy and packed with flavor. The service was fast and friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. Definitely coming back!

I stumbled upon this restaurant while watching YouTube travel guides for our upcoming trip to San Diego. We love unique dining experiences, so this seemed like our kind of eatery. The food & service was excellent. The owner checked on every table & takes pride in his restaurant which shows in the quality of the food. The head meat tacos were excellent! We also loved the consomè con carne soup.

First time in San Diego and saw this place as one of the most recommended place I was when just searching for a place for tacos. And I’m glad that I stopped by.
The broth with meat was spicy, but you could easily taste the freshness and umami of the ingredients. Tacos were extremely good - meat was tender and well seasoned all around. Lemonade was pretty good too.
Would definitely recommend if you want to have some good tacos.

Had high hopes for this place after reading reviews but was disappointed. The Horchata doesn’t hit, that was when we should’ve left. The pastor was the only decent flavor of meat. The Chicken, and tripas were bland and super greasy that it breaks the tortilla. You could drown them in salsa since that was the only good thing they had but with the grease you basically have a soup. With all the tacos spots in San Diego I would say avoid this one.

I found this restaurant by reading other people reviews. Parking was limited but I found a spot. Delicious juicy tacos ? with unusually large selection of meats and extra sauces. My favorite was “Cochinita pibil”!!! Combined it with meat soup and hibiscus lemonade. They both were great. My waitress was professional and friendly, I even chatted with the owner who was around too. Restroom is clean. Good people and vibes!
