We were brought out complimentary chips and salsa when we sat down. The green salsa was spicy and limey! The ostiones were pretty fresh! Our drinks came out shortly and were so colorful and refreshing! He got the Serrano cucumber margarita and I got the oaky hibiscus sour. The queso fundido was nice and cheesy! The tuna tartare was beautiful as well as light and citrusy. The mole plate was a little burnt though. For dessert, we ordered flan and it had a nice and thick texture. They forgot to bring our esquites, but brought it out after we got dessert LOL.It was a great appetizer! They asked for my opinions, so I am glad that they want to take our feedback into consideration. Would love to come back and try their other menu items!

Extremely disappointed!. This place has gone downhill. Brought our out-of-town friends to what use to be what we considered great food and great service. We walked in and the place was empty. They couldnt make a margarita, the birria was dry and they were out of pulpo. When our food finally came, it was cold. What use to be our go to place is now in our rear view mirror.

Need a full refund for false advertising the Halloween Basement California Business & Professions Code Section 17500 BPC: Making False Or Misleading Statements In Advertising Booked at 11, was let in at 11:45 Warm beer No food was sold, food was not available, (As advertised) no beer was available and cocktails were disgustingly served at non consumable temperature. Not enough seating even thogh it was reserved. Please refund 4 tickets Manager Albert referred me to Attorney at [email protected] Then later blamed bucketlisters. Please provide contact information for representation or refund full amount of tickets.

This is a review for the speak easy down stairs " the haunted basement" the experience was not that great . We were told that our time would be delayed by 15-30min I didn't mind because they said they would make up for the time missed . They brought out one shot while we Waited in line for 30 mins passed our time which we thought was the compensation. They told us we could get our complimentary" themed" drink which comes with the tickets once we made it down stairs . Once we got down stairs there was someone bringing around shots which was thought was more compensation for the wait time . We went to the counter to get our complimentary drink which we had to end up paying for because one of the bartenders followed us up the stairs saying we had to pay because the 2 shots were our "themed complimentary " drink. He did take off one of our drink for the inconvenience and apologized. And stated that this happens all the time and that management over booked the venue on multiple occasions and that if people walk out because they weren't aware of which drink was complimentary and the bar staff and other workers have to pay the tab. There were no tables to sit at even though we were like the 4th party in line and mind you it was just my fiancé and I.

This is a review of the Halloween speakeasy event that we attended. Our friend purchased tickets for this event as we were visiting. Our ticket admission should have been at 9 p.m., but we waited for at least 45 minutes. On the ticket, we were supposed to get a "drink" each. While we were lining up in a dark hallway, jammed packed with other folks, they were distributing cocktail shots. They did not specify that those shots were our "drinks!" When we went down to the basement, it was loud and packed with no place to sit. We finally got a table and started ordering drinks, thinking that our tickets would cover them. When we were about to leave, they charged us for those drinks because they did not tell us that our tickets only covered shots! We wanted to like the event, but it was a letdown. The only entertainment was one or two workers dressing up as Chucky and Mike Myers, going around the table. No show, and we ended up playing stupid board games on the table. The music was so loud that we could hardly talk to each other. TL;DR (1) Drinks were NOT FREE as stated on the ticket (bait and switch), (2) service was a letdown, and (3) don't expect a show but sitting in a dimmed crowded room with loud music and playing stupid board games.

This event is a bait and switch scam and not as advertised. They made us wait 45 min past our reservation. They charge to get in. They say you'll get a free drink. There was no free drink. As we left they charged us for our four free drinks. We ended up spending over $150 dollars. You just sit in a dark basement with no frills, no entertainment and no skills with games you can't play for it's too noisy and dark to see. Reservations were on top of each other and there was no where to sit. Staff confused and yelling at each other. As you wait for table there's no where to stand so they keep you in the galley way next to the toilet until you enter. It was a horrible night and not as advertised. Should be shut down. The horror was the awful event that takes your money for nothing.

Came for a drink with the wife. Sat at the bar.Got handed menu's immediately. Downside was that we sat for for 15 minutes for a drink. Bartenders were not friendly. Drinks were weak and over priced. I ordered a mojito that had repo, blanco tequila and wine. Wife ordered a michelada that was three quarters mix and a quarter beer. Ambiance of the place was overall not welcoming. Drinks tasted good at least, hence the 2 star.

I dream about all their food but especially there carnitas tacos, it really melts in your mouth. I just wish they would bring back the habenero aoli they used to serve with their chips! Best I've had, i brought people there just to try it and really set them apart.
