Mediocre at best. Was looking forward to eating here from the reviews. Called for pick-up. Rolled tacos were more like rolled tortillas with a tiny amount of beef. The surf and turf was good but needs chipotle sauce. The meat in the Carne asada fries were good but the fries are not. They forgot our drinks had to drive back.
The pilgrimage to this establishment, spurred by the insistent, bright noise of the digital echo chamber, proved to be an exercise in tempered expectation. The best family ran and owned taco shop in the world hands down. I have a family of 5 we come here at least 1 to 2 times a week. Food is always fresh and hot and the prices or unbeatable. Please if there’s anyone that does food reviews in San Diego add El Rinconcito Taco Shop to your to go list! I’ll pay for your meal!
