Great food and service.

This is the first time I ever wrote a review. I had dinner there tonight for my daughter's birthday. I had the ravioli. After eating the first ravioli, a bug flew from the plate to the table. I killed it instinctively. After a few seconds, I saw another similar bug on my plate. I reported it to the manager as I assume they have an infestation in the kitchen. He tried to convince me that the bug came from outside. Hopefully this was an isolated instance, but I doubt it.

They need to bring an actual chef or hell even a dishwasher from Italy, food was good, but not worth at all the price they were asking for, if you want actual Italian food, head to balsamic in Imperial beach. This place was very Americanized, from the service, to the food, to the presentation. As a LATINO, when I go to an Italian restraunt, I don't want to her Fuerzo Regida blarring as I eat Italian food. This place won't make it another year here. Mediocre food, $$$ prices, overall not good.

From the moment we stepped into Garbatella, we were greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that set the tone for the entire evening. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between elegant and inviting that makes you feel both special and comfortable.

The service and food were impeccable, whether it’s for a special occasion or simply a night out, this is a place where you can expect outstanding food, attentive service, and a memorable atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Their Spinach ravioli is a knee slapper. Definitely recommend coming here, don't go to Olive Garden. An Italian dies every time Olive Garden makes food. Garbatella Italiano will bring them back to life 🤌🏻

I absolutely loved this place, the atmosphere was cute, food was amazing, and service was awesome, since covid it's extremely difficult to find good service, this place has it all. Recommend 100% Calamari, Pizza cuatro carnes was delicious, Pesto pizza was ok for me, but my husband loved it, Ravioli was good, Lasagna was delicious, Tiramisu was amazing ❤️

Very disappointed that the website says they're open, but they weren't.

Pizza dough was very doughy and soft, probably from a cold pizza oven. Expensive for the food quality. They have oysters on the menu but no oysters

$80 for 2 (less than mediocre) pizzas and two drinks. 🥱😞

In my opinion prices on avg is 30-40. is a bit high considering the actually quantity. Its more of a fancy end place, alright cool. Waiters are what you expect nice, kind, no problems. The food was very underwhelming for the price. I ordered pasta, had 0 flavor, didn't even taste like salt. Desert I got a chocolate cake. That was inedible, probably the frozen stock from 2 weeks ago. I got it gold and it was dry as sand. Worth? not really.

Sooo much more food that I will need to comeback and try. The Lobster Ravioli was amazing. The wine list is so stacked that every dish and personal taste has its bottle. The live music makes it xtra special. I had seen this restaurant a lot lately every time we went to Otay Ranch mall, so happy we decided to give it a try.

We celebrated our anniversary at Garbatella's. Our servers, Diego and Carlos, were excellent. The food was delicious.
We will be back again soon.

I’ve been here multiple times and the first one was the best which was in 2023. These last time were current and the food has been just been burnt, taste old or made fast. I decided to get take out last night and it took 15 mins to get anyone’s attention at the cafe part of the restaurant. Nobody greeted me and I got a coffee and piece a cake. It was 20 dollars!! So expensive for small portions. Not worth the 20, just go to the chilis next door. Wanted to love this place and keep coming back but it’s becoming inconsistent with the food service and hosting.

We recently celebrated my daughter's birthday, and had a wonderful experience! From the taste of the food, the service and ambience, we had a great and pleasant experience! Everyone enjoyed their meals as well as their drinks. The only downside that I would have to point out, is that the plates are a bit on the pricier side. For the price, I would have expected maybe a small side salad or small soup. Other than that, we really enjoyed our time and the live music was a plus.
