After surviving a few hours in the car crossing the border from TJ we made it to the shop 10 minutes before closing, yet they were friendly and welcoming. A much needed fuel up for the rest of our drive north to get home!

Patrick the owner is always super nice and accommodating. Love to see a small business with thrillingly amazing specialty coffee. Can confidently say it’s the best in the Chula Vista. Come check it out!

Heave Ho is the best! We get it shipped up to Spokane, WA and it always comes on time and quickly. We have a ton of "highly-rated" coffee companies up here in the PNW, but they do not come close to Heave Ho.

Hidden gem- thank you Yelpers! I've been searching fruitlessly for a good flat white for a few weeks. I wanted the taste of the kind you can get in France and I feel like a lot of the coffee here just tastes burnt.Well today my coffee wish came true. I actually go to this industrial park regularly for work but I had no idea this coffee place was there, just a few doors down from the unit I'm usually visiting. My loss! It's a little hidden from the main road but super easy to get to. If you're coming east off the 5, it's the first parking lot/ set of buildings on your left. Turn left as you enter the parking lot and then first right into the first row of parking you see between the two buildings, and it's about halfway down on the left. The service was really friendly and the coffee is sooo good and smooth! My afternoon is looking much better thanks to them. :)

After reading the one-star reviews, I decided to call this place before I stopped by. Someone answered, hello? and I stated I was just checking if they were open before I drove up.The shop is in an industrial lot, and even though the GPS was on and the address clearly on the web page, I was eyeballing it to see if I could find it easily. Well, I drove around a few times, but you will find it if you spot the 2240 on the building. I walked up, and there were a few employees busy doing coffee bag lifting , roasting, order fulfilling and stuff.I was greeted right away, I didn't catch his name because I am bad at that. But he was really nice and patient as I looked over the menu. He mentioned that they came in second place in a local article for best coffee in Chula Vista. I asked, "Who was first?" Grindhouse? He said, "No! they beat them - it was Rambler Cafe that came in first." Hmmm, we were surprised at that one, but they are good too. He mentioned plans in the making for a shop with baked goods in Imperial Beach and Coronado. Best of luck to you! I love indie coffee shops.Today, I ordered the Vanilla Bean on ice with oat milk. It was $6, so I think the menu pricing is a bit outdated. The coffee was smooth and not too strong, not sickeningly sweet. I enjoyed it very much, and will try the other items when I'm in town.

The coffee is so fresh and such a variety of flavors. Plus, Patrick was so generous in letting me taste the right one and knowledgeable about all types of places to get coffee beans.

This little hole in the wall will serve you fresh coffee, sell you amazing coffee, and is a wholesaler to various venues. They have a great story, they have a great product, and their little shop is full of interesting, knickknacks, and conversation pieces which staff is too happy to chat with you about. Best of all they roast their coffee beans there and the smell is just out of this world. Definitely worth a stop in if you happen to be on Main street.

This place is really small and easy to miss and especially hard to find on Apple Maps. It's big inside though! Lots of merch. The service is nice too. My fed dirty chai was delicious

This place is awesomeIt’s so cute and kitch inside. I love the maritime theme mixed with urban art. Good coffee, good place to hangout too.No outlets though and bit of a random area, but don’t let that stop you !This is one of those spots you have to stumble on, or be cool/‘in the know’ to know about ?

Tried stopping by today. It's 1pm on a Monday. Looks closed? Door is locked. Nobody home. Was excited to give it a try. Not sure why it's closed despite it being business hours.

Heave Ho Coffee shop was great! They have an interesting location and venue (a plus, IMO). I could see them hosting a live music event in the future. Anyway, I ordered two dirty chai. They were the perfect drinking temperature and very very good. I will be back!
