Terrible customer service from manager GABRIEL!
Asked me and my 2 kids to wait outside while we wait for a table, it was very cold and windy... he said we were in the way... but they have no waiting area, very badly planned... It was rude that he would ask us to wait outside.

Called in my phone order at 6:40 pm and received food at ........ still waiting. I would have been better off adding my name to 45 min table wait list. FYI, I had to wait outside for food in cold. I received food order at 7:45 pm. That is 65 min later. SMH. DONT ORDER FOR PICK UP ON FRIDAY.

We’ve been to a lot of sushi restaurants, both San Diego and basically everywhere we travel.
This is our go to. For good reason. If you’re reading reviews it’s because you’re wondering if you should eat here or not. DO IT!!!

Great spot, Juan at the sushi bar took great care of us. Came in about 15mins before closing, got bowls and a Manda’s roll served quick!

I use to love coming here, been coming for years and service was always exceptional. My server would always be Bobby and honestly loved coming back cause of him he always gave great service and made the party I was with feel welcomed . I came for a going away party on the 11th with my family. We were a party of 13 and Grecia was our server. To start off she was terribly rude with an attitude anytime we asked for something. We were there for 1 hour and half and didn’t get refills, My family order the wrong thing and we tried to explain the mistake and all we were told was that they can’t take it back cause it was made even though it never touched the table, they made sure we even paid for it. Even the manager that came wasn’t understanding about a simple Sushi mistake. I’ve worked in the industry for many years and I’ve never heard of that. Mistakes happen but you make sure the table is happy especially when it’s a big table and can potentially bring more service if service is great. To top things off Food took forever to come out around 40 minutes for ramen and a steak plate that wasn't cooked right. Our whole order was over 560 dollars tip included with a service that I honestly wish I didn’t have to tip. I honestly don’t do bad reviews but this time i had to cause Grecia was terrible and will push away customers both new and regulars with an Attitude like that. Food that day was not to par to what I’ve had both sushi and plates. This review really could have been avoided even if food was bad but our server and the manager is the main reason why I’m leaving a review like this. The whole vibe with my family was ruined that night because we all felt like we weren't wanted there the server made damn sure to ruined our night after already knowing she was going to be tipped for a party the size.

Never ever fails! This place is amazing. I have been coming here for the longest and every time is amazing. Many options including vegetarian options. Local owners.Best ponzu sauce in town.
