We always looked forward to a meal at Karina’s on Highland in National City. We hadn’t been in the area for a while and were Very Much looking forward to lunch when recently we found a vacant spot at the Highland location. We decided our second option was the location at Chula Vista/Bonita. Unfortunately we left incredibly disappointed with what once were
Favorite Meals coming in far below expectations.
Service was mediocre and literally no ambience beyond...

I had a great time and was satisfied. I was super impressed with the food and the service. My server at times took longer than expected, but im pretty lienant, but still, she was friendly. I did sit outside, which my fault; is right by the road, so I heard a lot of drive by cars, haha, but overall, it's super good.

The absolute BEST Karina’s location. This is the best aguachile arguably on the planet, and do NOT sleep on their tacos either. Some of the best carne asada I’ve ever had. Don’t expect 5-star service, but that’s not why you’re here anyway.
