Mrs Rice's Oriental Restaurant

Recently went here and ordered a regular chicken bowl with rice and vegies, no sauce. It was extremely delicious, well seasoned. Would recommend, they take long with the order either, probably like 5 minutes. Great food and atmosphere.

My family used to go there for like 30 years. However, they start increasing the prices of everything and they change the containers to smaller ones. They have the old ones in the wall (which are big and meaning more food) but when they give your food they have new smaller containers( meaning less food) and everything for the same price as the old ones. Really sad they just lie about their products. This not worth it anymore, they don’t know who buys them or the area they are to be raising their prices like that. They will lose customers (well at least they lose one).

Mrs Rice beats Yoshinoya or any other teriyaki place any day. First the owners and staff here are extremely attentive and prepare each order personally to ensure the food is fresh. The bowls and plates are very filling as compared to what you'd find elsewhere as they give a heaping serving of proteins and rice. They also do wraps for those who prefer tortilla wrapped over teriyaki. I got the #7 which is chicken and steak plus veggies: so good! Drinks are available both as fountain drinks as well as bottled depending on preferences. One reason to keep coming back is that this restaurant is clean and you're supporting a local small business. Parking is available in the lot shared with other business and there's seating available inside too.

Has changed a lot I ordered the combo meat no flavor also the chicken no flavor only what they put on it when they give it to you they need a improvement they should taste the food

This has been my go to place for post workout and lunch, the food is fresh and the people are always friendly, they serve very healthy food and large portions, I ask for the steamed vegetables and chicken with extra portions, no teriyaki or rice due to the caloric intake for my routine ??

Overcooked chicken

I work in Chula Vista for over 15 yearsAnd one of my favorite places to grab lunch is at Mrs. Rice’sI love all their food but the Baja Wrap is the best. I can eat this everyday switch back from chicken to pork !!! I recommend all my customers friends and family !!! while I wait for my lunch I grab a doughnut from the doughnut shop next door.

#7 and #9 double meat. The food is always fresh, it never disappoints and it always hits the spot
