I ordered a very basic Honey green tea with coconut jelly today and it was the worst milk tea I've ever had. The tea was so bitter that I gave up drinking any more after just one or two sips. I paid more than $7, but it was a waste of money. I think I'll know what it's like even if I don't drink anything else, so I won't go here anymore and I'll tell my friends about it. Please take care to make the drink so that it feels worth it.

Worker was nice and answered questions. Self order kiosk available. Clean, little shop with one bench for waiting for your order. Drinks were good, we got the Taro Stormy, Wintermelon Green Tea, and Vietnamese Coffee. Vietnamese coffee was not as strong as normally expected from other places.

The quality of R$B drinks is top tier to me. I was really sad that the one in Kearny Mesa closed down ! So glad that my boyfriend found this place for me tho it's very far for us. Ordered 4 drinks and they're all came out great! I really love my peach milk tea even tho it's not the same as the one in Kearny Mesa, it's still very delicious. I've only been here once so I haven't encountered those rude and nasty employees like all the other comments said so cross my fingers! Reading all the other comments actually scares me. I don't wanna hate on R&B. Will definitely come back when we can.

Black tea boba tasted fine, but this place lacks customer service skills big time. Also for an extra $1 this is how much boba you get...????? Boba lasted a few sips and was tasteless. There's so many other boba places around Chula Vista, I'd say go elsewhere!

I definitely understand the other reviewers about R&B Tea's customer service. When my boyfriend and I first walked in we were not greeted nor was anyone in the front. The ambiance of the establishment seemed uninviting and not worth visiting. The lady that took our order was rude and snarky. R&B Tea has a sparkling series section on their menu and I was really keen on trying their sparkling drinks; but the lady said they could not accommodate or could not make the drink. As you can see, I was disappointed because there was no sign saying that they were sold out or there was an issue. The lady then proceeded to check us out but continued to be rude and snarky. As for the drink, it's alright. If you are in the room for a boba or tea shop, I highly recommend A Tea 7 - their customer service was on point and made us feel welcomed and that they actually wanted to serve us. The employees that work in both establishments looked like the same age range, so I am not sure where the attitude of the workers at R&B Tea is coming from. To that Asian lady that checked us out, I hope this review helps change your attitude. If there was a manager there, I would have immediately reported you for an unpleasant experience.

R&B honestly has downgraded in quality in their drinks, I have been a continuous visitor for months. These days every time I go, the customer service is OK and there are boxes everywhere. I will say though, there is this young Latina girl with glasses and long hair that makes up for the others behavior with. She actually looks like she cares about being there and is carrying R&B. Me and my husband actually only buy drinks from there now if only she makes it

My husband and I went tonight for the first time and tried the taro stormy with boba and the Vietnamese coffee. The boba lacked consistency but the taro had an okay flavor. The Vietnamese coffee had no flavor. It tasted watered down. I was a bit disappointed because it looked in the pictures. I hope this helps.

The order was messed up when we picked it up. They were staring at my husband the entire time they re-made it, which made him feel like they were going to do something to it. The actual drinks were trash. The vietnamese coffee was milk, no coffee flavor at all. If you drink vietnamese coffee, you know it's strong, it tasted like watery milk. Would not recommend.
I've been here several times. The boba and drink quality is fine. But I concur with the other comments about customer service. It's so bad I feel like I'm being trolled. I typically order the same thing. I stated my order and the server took it down. I corrected him because he did not include the boba. He said, "You didn't say that." Umm, I did, but even if I didn't, who cares? This isn't he said/she said.Then, when I got my drink, it was missing the boba :-) He was very exasperated that the silly customer then deigned to ask him to include the boba they'd asked for twice. Although that's an extreme example, the customer service usually isn't much better. I guess they think that even if there's a line in front, they should just stay in the back and let customers use the self-ordering kiosk. Service makes me not want to go there.

I got the Brown Sugar Boba Milk and it was great! It was so creamy and the sweetness was perfect for me. R&B Tea is one of my favorite boba places in San Diego and it's always consistently amazing. The price range is $5-$7 per boba drink depending on what you order and additional toppings.When I walked in the store I was trying not to laugh because there was this weird Halloween music playing. I'm sure it was an inside joke between the employees but it sounded like Casper was coughing up a gospel song super loudly through the speakers, I had no idea what that was. Not a negative comment! Just thought it was so funny.
