Worst sushi I've had! Prices are great, but it's basically you get what you pay for type of deal. The sushi was very poorly made. Very loose. Falling apart. Looks nothing like the picture. Wouldn't come back

Worst service ever. Found a hair in our food and showed the server. She literally said "what do you want to do?" and we received no apology whatsoever. She also kept side-eying us after she re-served the food with hair. The host was also not welcoming at all and ignored us when we said it was quite warm inside. Food was mid and not fresh. It seemed like they just microwaved stuff. The tonkatsu I ordered was not freshly made and tough to eat. It seemed like they just reheated it. Sushi was okay but not worth it for the price. I've had better service and food for the same price at a local place.

This place is kind of hidden away from the mall area. It has a pretty good lunch special. The teriyaki chicken is really good. Not much of a fan of the sushi service was pretty quick and efficient.

First thing I noticed upon walking in was sticky floors. The kind of sticky that results in soda or beer being spilled and gets your shoes nice and stuck while making lovely noises with every step. Then I ordered the sushi sampler. The sampler consisted of around 6 small rolls with imitation crab with avocado. The nigiri served on the side had different warm slices of fish. Im used to having cold fish served, so the warm fish was a red flag. Hoping I don't get sick from it. The last roll on the plate had a huge black curly hair sticking out from it. This made me not want to eat any longer. I had also ordered the yakitori. The chicken was just drowned in sticky sweet sauce and was probably microwaved. They did discount the sushi sampler for having the hair in the roll so they only charged me for the other items ordered. First and last time here though. Ill update if I get sick from the fish..

I've been going to Sushiya otay ranch and previously Del Mar when they were open for over 10 or even 15+ years. The Del Mar location unfortunately closed but when we lived there we ordered almost every week and the hostess remembered us and would always give us complimentary soup and even an extra when my wife was pregnant. Anyways, back to the otay location. Food here is always consistent, good sushi and even better pricing. Only place I go to for sushi. We've pretty much have tried most of the food here including the chicken and salmon and all our top notch and fresh.

I haven't tried the rolls, so have no input there, but best place for galbi in town imo. I usually get the galbi and salmon belly. Both have always been very good and I would highly recommend! True, there may be better places, but those would require getting on the freeway and leaving town and some days I don't want to, so I go to Sushiya to satisfy that craving, and it does it well.

We drove 30 minutes to pick up food they closed at 9 pm and they wouldn't take our order. We asked them to please make an exception as we aid a toll to arrive and drove 25 minutes... there was 30 minutes left to 9pm... but no it's very sad last time I spend my money there. I asked for a manager there was none... Kelly turned us away.

No, I did not catch the game last night Stop asking
Many selections in their menu are highly affordable and delicious, like the teriyaki plate. The rolls are also fairly good, especially with how cheap some are.Restaurant itself has a wonderful, relaxed

Great sushi and yakisoba. It was busy so service was a little slower, but we go regularly so the wait is worth it.
