The whole staff is just as incredible as the food. Robert was so helpful from the start. Sara, our waitress was very attentive and personable. The sushi artists Ree and Darwin are masters at their craft. Dan, the manager, was friendly and I will absolutely be back. Best sushi I’ve ever had.

The sushi here is divine! They have gluten free soy sauce and each roll can be customized to be GF. They use real crab instead of fake Krab, which is weird and also has gluten. They could benefit from another server or two during peak hours. But the quality of the sushi is decadent. Very fresh and great pairings.

I give Taiyo 4 stars (instead of 5) because their prices are way too high and their very small dining room space needs sound dampening materials - it gets extremely loud even when half full with people. Everything else about Taiyo is 5 star (quality of their fish and service is top notch h).

Outstanding quality fish especially for a resort sushi restaurant. The standard maki rolls (spicy tuna) i thought was just ok but the sushi nigiri and sashimi were outstanding. And they even have Toro on the menu.
Prices are not cheap but ok I thought.
As I peeked into the kitchen, you can see rows of neatly organized and labeled fresh ingredients. Looks like a well run restaurant!

Easily the best food option at the Gaylord. They only have 6 tables and a sushi bar for seating options so prepare for that. However the staff seem to move rather quickly. All the rolls and appetizers were fantastic. Cocktails are made next door at Treo and brought over. Sapporo available on draft as well. The fresh wasabi was very good and is highly recommended. Would suggest trying this place if you’re staying at the Gaylord!
