I pre ordered a week prior to pick up, they didn’t have the complete order (a side)no big deal. I tell them I want a refund for the side and they say they can only void the transaction and charge me just for the ham, then do not honor the price of the ham I ordered online and mark the price up. When I show them the price from my confirmation email they take the ham they brought out to go get a smaller ham to match the price from the email. When I first get to the store two of the employees were bad mouthing the guy that was before me, completely unprofessional, owner should get involved and hold some customer service training and teach them what professionalism is and why it’s important to business. Do not use the H st. Location, completely mishandled by I’m guessing their management.

Still no email response from H St store manager, Raquel, as suggested by Scott, the business manager. Maybe the problem at that store is the store manager herself.

My first and last time at this place. Management totally lacked organization and customer service, it was chaotic and very, very confusing. Angry clients, just so unsatisfying the whole experience. I didn't pay for our ham so I stood there for a long time or else I would have requested a refund and cooked something else, hey even a boiled egg sounds better than waiting in this chaotic environment! The Ham was absolutely not acceptable, it wasn't cooked properly!!!!! You people only carry the name that's it, you are lacking in all aspects of running a business!!!!!

So this is absolutely frustrating! On a normal day (other than the day before Thanksgiving) on the other 363 days of the year, you would be able to walk right up to the front counter to order anything on their menu. But on the Thanksgiving Eve, everyone and their grandmother, grandfather, pet dog, and so forth wants to come and order a spiral cut honey baked ham from here. During our visit, we had 'pre-paid" for our 5-lb ham, and didn't order any sides, turkey, rolls, etc. we ONLY ordered our ham. We waited over 30 minutes for our ham at 7:30am!!! Much of it was due to customers requesting to order sides at the time of pickup and IN ADDITION to their pre-paid order. NOTE: if you want side fixings when you pickup your pre-paid ham, order them also at the same time! You will get your order faster, and others in line behind you will also get their orders faster. The business does not make enough side fixings to be sold on the day of! We wish the business would return to their COVID guidelines and have a refrigerated semi-truck trailer out back doing curbside pickup for those who pre-paid! This would make the pickup process so much easier for those who pre-paid their ham. This must be a headache for not only customers, but even more so for the staff who'll be on their feet the entire day dealing with short tempered customers who have been waiting in line for a lot longer than they had expected. The line was as long as Disneyland's two Star Wars attraction rides. TIP: order online several weeks prior to Thanksgiving, select the earliest pickup time, and arrive 30+ mins prior to opening so your line will be the shortest throughout the day. Honestly, they need a better system for their pickup process and they had it pretty much down to a science during COVID, but since then, the process has only gone downhill. Once inside, the lobby pickup area's appearance was clean and tidy and the workers were doing their best to alleviate a bad logistical pickup problem. I can only pray this Thanksgiving Eve pickup process gets better in the years to come...

Horrible Thanksgiving experience. Money hungry people. Paid online and when arrived to pick up food there was long line. A shorter line was made for personnel who placed an order but had not paid. You would think they would make a priority to customers that paid. Additionally, sides that were ordered went out of stock....

Not what I was expecting at all, for $80+ for an 8lb ham, I'd rather take the time to add all the mix ins. There was a previous post about it being burnt, it's my first time buying one and had heard great reviews, but the pictures posted looked exactly like mine did. I wouldn't buy from here again, I'd rather go to Costco and get it for the same taste and a lot less money. It fell short from all the hype

Now I'm not one to complain but where's the crunchy honey glaze?? Our ham was practically burnt at this point. How can you call yourselves honey baked ham with no crunchy honey glaze? honey baked ham really dropped the ball this year :( Also side note: ended up pre-paying this year yet the line for the reservations unpaid went quicker than pre-pay. Make that make sense??

Knowing that you will have an extensive line outside, please organize pre-paid pickup, at a much more faster and convenient process

Don't waste your time paying $80+ for a ham that you can now make with a million recipes out there because they are truly disorganized! I tried calling and they hung up on me many times. I went out there and those who had already ordered and paid online got punished and had to line up all the way around the building in the hot sun. Those who ordered online but hadn't paid had no line and would walk right in. Does that make any sense? i'm barely going into the store now, there are 10 people ahead of us and the line that i waited in is close to an hour now. This hasn't made many people happy at all so now they've announced that if we don't like it to cancel our order. So much for customer service!

Just came from this store and everything was so unorganized. We PREORDERED and PREPAID for a full meal (turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, and cheesy potatoes). First, we got to the store and the line was huge for prepaid. The walkins and reservation were being served before us. We waited 1 hour and 10 minutes and when we got into the store they ran out of stuffing and gravy, which were the sides we were most excited for. We believe they were giving out sides to customers who did not prepay which does not make sense. Now, we have to dish out more money to make stuffing and gravy. This is the first and last time we come here. The girl at the front register was a sweetheart so shoutout to her for being patient and sweet.

Food is not bad...but the service is just slow as hell. Even though there are 12 people back there and 2 customers, somehow it takes 45mins to get a prepaid order. My order was complete almost an hour after the scheduled pick up time. When you walk it, it's as though time gets frozen and the people in there move and think at a sloth like pace. You can tell no one cares anyway...so...this will fall on deaf ears. Just won't go back.

We've enjoyed using the Honey Baked Ham store at Terra Nova, Chula Vista for several years. On Oct. 12, 2023, we stopped at this store to pick up our usual delicious Classic Ham Sandwich on a Hawaiian bun and very disappointed to learn the following:- The store is now under new ownership- The "Spot On" discount points program has been discontinued and I lost all my reward points.- The Hawaiian bread has been discontinued- The price of the Classic Ham Sandwich jumped from $6.99 to $9.99and the bun was smaller and meat serving was less than half of the previous generous portion of meat we were used to!Sadly, we will not be visiting this business anymore! We will just start getting our travel sandwiches at the area Ralph's or Von's stores in the future!
