Super friendly staff. The best part of it all is when I get to go orders. I never have to worry about checking my bag. When I open it depending on what I got, there’s always red or green sauce, sliced limes, napkins and a fork. Even the cooks are involved with a customer service they always welcome customers as a walk-in.

Visiting san diego and wanted some fish tacos, there's lots of shrimp tacos❌. Found TJ Oyster Bar, I can't explain enough how my experience just got better and better. You'll walk into this small, calm, yet inviting atmosphere. Then your order is taken by very friendly staff, I got 4 fish tacos-($3.75 each) for the price of $16 and some change-and a water cup. They have Horchata and their water is surprisingly very refreshing. Pick a table, there tables seat up to four and are cleaned regularly after every customer. Your food will be brought to you, unless you have takeout, there is seating by the register. Our food was brought hot and fresh with two bottles of sauce. One is hot sauce and the other is more mayo. The fish is lightly battered, not too oily, on a corn tortilla, topped with mayo-I think-,lettuce and cubed tomato, with a side of limes (1 for each taco). I highly recommend this place, got there 30mins before close with no issues. Great place and I will be back!!😁👍

The server READ BACK OUR ORDER. The only thing they got right was there was rice on the plate. The menu says tostadas but she said they don’t make tostadas. But on our receipt, IT SAYS TOSTADA. We improvised and ordered tortillas (might have been from Taco Bell), beans (it was bean soup) and even though she asked if we wanted tomatoes with the lettuce, and cheese, so we could build our own, it was not included. Never again. AND she kept me on the phone for 10 minutes when I tried to call in The order so we drove up there and did not have to wait in line AT ALL. The grilled fish plate we ordered was a plain piece of fish and only rice. Literally, that was all. Watch out for the brush bristles, we found one in the beans. Not kidding.

The first time my friend told me to meet him at TJ Oyster Bar I was not expecting what it turned out to be. I have not had any oysters in the five or six times that I have gone there. The tacos, and tostadas are amazing, especially the smoked tuna. The fried shrimp and fish dishes are delectable. The various choices of sauces to go along with the food is a must try. And to top it off the service has always been extremely friendly and helpful.

Incredible ceviche tostada, excellent and flavorful stingray and oyster tacos, a fun and bright interior. It's not particularly cheap...I got 4 tacos and a tostada for 28 bucks. But it's worth it and you'll be coming back again and again!

Love all the TJ Oyster Bar locations. This one is a fast casual concept with most of the menu items. Food is always exceptional, fresh, delicious. Favorite - aguachile verde, seafood broth, octopus tacos, mahi mahi tacos. ??
