Great menu. We got breakfast croissant sandwiches, a Matcha latte and a Strawberry freeze. The coffee items looked tasty and creative too. Service was friendly and quick but we were the only customers here for the duration of our stay and meal so I'm not sure how they'd do in a rush.
When I saw the news of a new coffee shop less than 5 minutes away from my home, I get pretty ecstatic. And those of you that know me already know I love the family-owned and operated coffeehouses. This takes me on a trip to the heart of Citrus Heights where I had the opportunity in trying out "BeanHeads Coffee". Located directly on San Juan Ave. and less than 1/4 mile from nearby Greenback Lane, this place opened their doors in August 2021. This is actually their 2nd location to open (as their first location opened in July 2021) in the Natomas area off of Northgate Blvd. & Del Paso Rd.I came here for the first time during the morning of Saturday 10/2/2021 at around 9:35am. Parking is easily accessible which is a plus on the days when heavier traffic occurs in the morning hours. When I first walked into the place, it is quite spacious but also quite bland. I'm not one that judges a business on how it looks on the inside but there was no artwork, no style, and just had plain walls. The ceiling was kind of cool with a nice square pattern but overall, this place needs a good interior designer to dress it up a little bit. Not to mention there were very basic tables with plastic chairs inside of the business. Now that I got that off my chest, this places does offer a respectable amount of coffee beverages. You will find your basic hot and iced coffees, teas, espressos, lattes, mochas, and blended coffee & fruit smoothies. They also have a small food selection including breakfast paninis, burritos, bagels, & croissants. They also carry a nice assortment of pastries including bear claws, muffins, loaf cakes, and cookies. During my visit, I went with a large "Iced Vanilla Latte" priced at around $4.50. Not a bad deal and less than other coffeehouses.Since there was only one customer ahead of me, my drink is ready in just a couple of minutes. Overall, I could definitely taste the espresso as well as a good portion of the vanilla. This was on the sweeter side but I enjoyed the drink from start to finish. All in all, the service, prices, and taste was all above average. I just think this place was be way better if it had more pizzazz to it by minor touch-ups to its interior. With that said and done, I am going to give the Citrus Heights "BeanHeads Coffee" an above average four stars.
The coffee is great and the owners are even better. Love the coffee and I like supporting local small businesses.
I found this coffee spot by searching here on google maps and decided to take a chance. When I first pulled up it wasn’t what I expected the parking lot was completely empty and it looked closed but I noticed that that open sign was on. The person that helped me was very friendly. I was surprised that they didn’t have low fat milk for my caramel macchiato. The drink was just ok, kinda bland with not much flavor..I also tried an egg potato and cheese burrito which was OK however it was extremely dry.The store was still going through renovations the decor was pretty sparse
I ordered the honey lavender latte and prosciutto croissant. AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back. I love the flavors they combine here.
I finally stopped by to get some coffee from this place and I was not disappointed. Great tasting latte. And they also roast their own coffee beans. I recommend everyone to check this place out and I'm sure I'll be visiting again.
Haven't tried the coffee.... But the food I have tried and it was disappointing, lots of microwaving. I'll give it one more shot and try their drinks. The honey lavender late sounds yummy.
First time I've been here. Absolutely wonderful! Coffee is excellent. Sandwich was delightful too! (Grilled Cheese). Please visit if in the area!
good coffee, yummy food and great customer service
I've been waiting for a cute local coffee shop. It does have a more modern inside look which to some could look unfriendly, it's just more open. The staff have been always friendly and super helpful.Their pastries aren't my fave, but obvious they're not in house.Did have a weird mishaps were the hours listed said they opened at a certain time. They were definitely not.Support local.

This place is pretty darned good. Prices were super reasonable, staff were very friendly and efficient. This place just opened approximately 2 months ago, so they still have some decorating to do, but still a good seeing to get some great coffee. I ordered a large black coffee and the breakfast burrito. The coffee, whose beans they roast locally, was delicious and piping hot, and the burrito was bigger, and better quality, than I would've expected for the price. Overall, love this place as an alternative to the larger chain coffee shops, and recommend it to anyone in the area.
My husband and I have been here a couple times and really enjoy the coffee. The breakfast burritos are delicious and a very good size for the price. I also like the little pastries, they seem to rotate what is available. I ordered a blueberry muffin with a lemon glaze and the guy helping me offered to heat it up. Overall, I recommend checking this place out.
Amazing to have a bonified coffee house in the neighborhood, walking distance! I've been anxiously awaiting their opening and they have not disappointed me!! Great coffee, knowledgeable staff, friendly and most importantly- not coffee chain coffee. I'm in ?
I was needing a boost after a tough morning, so I came in for the first time. I paid $6.50 plus tip for an oat milk dirty chai with 2 shots. It was so sweet/syrupy that it tasted horrible, covering up the flavor of the black tea, spices, and espresso. If I wanted to have a much better drink, I would make it in my home for $6 less. Consumers go out and spend more for food/drink that is better than what they can make at home. It’s not just to support a new local small business, which I was excited to try. I better get some energy out of this at least, because I am forcing myself to drink it.
Enjoyable coffee and tea, especially for the price! Tea flavor changes everyday, so we'll have to return to try all the flavors. Minutes from home and much more affordable than the other local chains, plus local business! Keep up the great work and good luck!
