Update your files. This restaurant has closed their business and your site would not allow me to cancel the reservation, because I learned that it had closed their business due to a cost of leasing problem.

Shame on you opentable. What a way to ruin a night! The Resturant is closed, permanently, yet we were still able to make a reservation and show up for our birthday dinner. We were even reminded of our reservation through your app. What kind of Q/A do you guys do with your resturant partners? Shouldn't you have known this was permanently closed and removed from your reservations. Not ok when myself and 6 others with a similar reservation show up to an empty shell of what was a Benihana.

seated 30 min after reservation time, little to no available appetizers as they were all "out", poor waitress service and was unwilling to get items that were requested. chef cooked our food differently than the other people at our table

Didn't know this was their last day, I wouldn't have made a reservation that they couldn't fill anyway! Never been and wanted a nice night for my birthday, made a reservation for 5:30 for a party of 5 on 2/23/20 and it was still going to be an hour to and hour an a half wait. There was a family ahead of us that had a reservation for 5PM and they had to wait as well. Pretty awful that they can't honor a reservation and when I tried to call after we decided to leave (to cancel properly) no one answered the phone, and I tried calling three times. We went elsewhere.

Reservations for 2:15. Got seated at 4:30. Wasn't informed about the near $5.00 difference in steamed to fried rice. Portions were very small for the wow price. Although the choices we made came with hot tea and ice cream, we had to ask for them. I kept thinking our tea would come when...finally, during ice cream, I received my tea. No one else had any. I got one cup.

We had reservations for 6 at 6:30 pm for Saturday February 22 for a 25th birthday family celebration. Upon arrival we were informed we were checked in, but there was an hour wait???? Why make a reservation if the reservation isn't honored. The birthday person was extremely upset, as he had been looking forward to Benihana for weeks. Needless to say, we had to scramble to find a lace for a birthday dinner. Fortunately, a steakhouse in El Dorado Hills was able to accommodate are group of 6. I find this extremely unacceptable.

Had a reservation for 830. We were seating at 850 which would have been fine, except the chef didnt come to cook for us until 10:00!!! It was terrible. The food was good, but the wait ruined it.

I loved the entertaining chefs most of all. It took us about 90 minutes to eat our dinner and to be served but I heard that was very typical. The food was great everything was great.

Brent was not customer orientated, and didn't seem to enjoy what he does. I understand he may have been disappointed about the restaurant closing, but these final experiences should have been with a better attitude! We were trying to look around at the other cooks to get the full experience. Plus, he was very irritated at the special food requests from other customers at the table. I regretted waiting 2 hours for the table and sitting there without food for so long! We were a party of 3, and all 3 dishes came at totally different times, and had to ask about my daughter's boat. It was almost an hour after we were seated (soup & salad gone) that Brent made his appearance, and it wasnt in a joyful way. Then continuously needed something else brought to him to complete the meal. He was upset when a customer asked if he was gonna do the volcano for us and said "I wasnt gonna, but I guess!" and proceded to do a little one with 3 pieces of onion! This is not how I remembered my experience from years ago and regret spending my time and money for my kids to have an unique meal! They heard and seen the fun being had at other tables since we sat so long without food ....but totally not the same !! Very disappointing!! Tables seated 40 minutes after us were enjoying their meals before we met our chef. While I didnt like that seafood, beef and chicken were all cooked with the same utensils... the food was decent once I waited 20 minutes between my rice and steak being cooked.

Went Friday Feb 21, with a reservation for 11:30 for 2 knowing that the establishment in Sacramento was closing on Sunday. The place was mobbed and they were totally full inside the dining area and only had one chef. They kept saying that 2 chefs didn't show and were due in within 30 min. This was the story as time passed. After about 50 more people came in the story was it wd be at least 45 min to an hour and the chefs were coming. Prob NOT. Ridiculous since they knew this in advance. Finally gave up and left. Wasted a $25 gift card we were given. No other Benihana around us so wasted. People that had ordered food to go were waiting over an hour and even as we left, they were still waiting. Worst experience ever.

I hate this location is closing. Food is always great. They were extremely busy. Reservation was 915 and they seated us at 10. They greeted us for the first time for drinks at 1030, took our order at 11 and we ate around 1145. This was the worst experience and only bad one I've experienced. Hope they come back.

Nobody told us they were closing up permanently- my reservation was made 3 months ago- we checked in at 5pm for 5:30 reservation— did not get seated till almost 7:45pm. Although I love this place..... this was unacceptable and I will find a different place to celebrate my Birthday ?

Had an reservation for 6:45 pm. Still was not seated at 7:30. Some were still waiting for a table after 1.5 hrs. Several walked out of the restaurant because their order had not been served for over 2 hours. Manager claimed several of the table chefs called in sick. Extremely poor managing. Went to another restaurant because of the delay.

We have visited this location twice and both times were seated hours after our reservation time. This time our chef was wonderful but being stuffed in a tiny waiting area for that long was horrid. The front area staff were overwhelmed and did not contain their frustration at all. We have been to the Bay Area and San Diego locations many times and never had experiences like this one. The restaurant itself is old and dated and needs a good clean.

Although we always enjoy the actual eating experience in relation to the food and the chef interacation. We have always found that their front end service/hostess is a mess. People with reservations were waiting an additional 45 min to an hour past their scheduled reservation. Because of that their super small waiting area is extra packed with no room to move. They don't get managers when requested to speak to them. They were waiting for their chefs to start their shifts, which obviously was passed the reservations time. So why take reservations if you won't have chefs scheduled? Bathroom needs a good coat of paint. The carpet needs to be redone. The whole place needs a remodel and many customers were saying just that as we spend way to much time noticing details as we sat for an hour.
