Messed up on my order. Suggested I drive back to get new plate. 20 minutes of driving is not a solution. They ended up saying they have $5 credit waiting for me in the safe. What happen to the old restaurant days where they would mess up and comp an item.

Having ordered the dynamite shrimp bowl with white rice at least two dozen times I’m familiar with the portion size. I have noticed the portion size get significantly smaller in recent times, with this being the latest offering, which is pretty ridiculous considering the price.

Update 2/23/2024I am a little disturbed as they added kiosk order(now forced), however there was an employee liaison assisting people who may have trouble.My outlook on kiosks:*People take this as "Do it yourself as we are either not staffed to do this or other things are more important than you".*I don't see this as service oriented.*Menu is fragmented on a screen and buttons all over which makes it tough to order for most.*McDonald's has kiosks, but nobody uses them.Example: 70+ lady walks up and tries to order. She has issues and has a ton of questions, this takes time. In the meantime you have a line backed up plus another user at the same time, with kiosk issues. Now what you have is a problem. Another one of your employees needs to be brought over to help now. Now everything is backed up.I know what the answer will be from your establishment. " We have backup, we will then take order manually"I get it, less employees brings more money to the budget, but in the long run it will not as service to customers is compromised and a reputation will prevail in the long run.I did kindly ask the manager why kiosks. She replied and we spoke. What dates out to me about that conversation is that her words were "People don't want to work for $20 per hour". Strange comment. Oh well. I have given up going there. Done with coaching.Let's get back to good ole excellent customer service. Bring that vision back. This is sorely needed.End of latest update-------------------------------------Great place, great service. Most "Most of the employees" are great.Bring the salsa bar back please.Fish is always consistent and fair prices. Gourmet food for less and a ton of options.Good job California Fish Grill!

California Fish Grill is one of my favorite restaurants. But I usually go to the one in Arden Arcade. But I come to this one at Citrus Heights when I’m in the area.The food is excellent. It is as good as the one in Arden Arcade. However, I like the dining room and outdoor dining area better in the Arden Arcade California Fish Grill. This one in Citrus Heights is too cold or windy in the outdoor dining area and a little too crowded in the indoor dining room. The workers are very friendly at this location.Parking: Not too hard to get a parking nearby when I’m there.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is wheelchair friendly
My wife and daughter and I just had lunch here and are beyond impressed. We have been looking for a way to make fish a more regular part of our diet and this is going to now be a weekly staple. The food was really impressive, far better than we expected from a small casual dining restaurant. Everything tasted fresh and light. I had the fish and chips and my wife had the dynamic shrimp bowl. However what really impressed us was the service. Serena helped us and was incredibly friendly and genuinely kind and helpful. We were both really blown away. Thank you for an awesome lunch experience.

The food was amazing, great music and a friendly staff. Staff member Kerstan is what customer service is all about. Took my order with accuracy, plate setting was on point, checked on me to see how food was and if I needed anything ( I did not, had all I needed) all the while continuing to do her other duties. Keep up the exceptional customer service, and I will be returning again. Even as I write this review, she picked up my tray. Wow. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 more stars for her. Thank you again.
