A fantastic small place to get some good food. They do their breakfast a little different which I liked a lot. The hash browns can be served extra crispy and is the better for it. Also the chicken fried steak is done in a thinner batter which lets you taste the meat. The eggs are also well cooked and had a good flavor, where most places they are bland.

Rude! Bad customer service asked a simple question & the lady was super rude about it. Food is trash , service is bad if I could give it zero stars I would. Don’t waste your money

The food was decent typical diner food. The prices are very high though. For two adults and a child to eat and drink it was $70.

Friendly staff, quick service and good home cooked style food. I had the pancakes with strawberry and whipped cream, eggs, and hashbrowns, eggs Benedict, breakfast burrito, and Mickey Mouse pancakes. Delish! Will definitely be back!

Been coming here since I was a kid. I love this place. The food and the people here are wonderful.

Expensive! I sense price gouging at this place, the waiter seemed like he had a guilty Demeanor as I asked him questions about ordering food. It costed me and my 2 kids (9 and 11) $69 to have breakfast here. They charged us $9 for a side order of hash browns for my son as well as other up charges. And all the food did not come out at the same time, the food items that the three of us ordered Separately came out over a duration of 15 minutes.

I absolutely love this place. It's like being out of town in their rugged A frame. The food is always delicious with a never empty coffee cup. The staff too are wonderful. I'll be going again very soon.

A Cozy Breakfast Gem in Citrus Heights

If you’re looking for a charming breakfast spot with a warm, rustic feel, The Lodge Coffee Shop on 8191 Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights, CA is a must-visit! This small A-frame restaurant brings the cozy, cabin-like atmosphere of South Lake Tahoe right into town, making it the perfect spot to start your morning.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with friendly and incredible service. The staff made us feel right at home, which only added to the inviting ambiance.

Now, let’s talk about the food—absolutely fantastic. I had a classic breakfast of eggs, ham, and a short stack of pancakes, and everything was cooked to perfection. My wife went with the Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs, which was hearty, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a comforting breakfast. And let’s not forget the coffee—rich, smooth, and just right.

We enjoyed ourselves very much and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great breakfast or lunch spot. The Lodge Coffee Shop delivers on quality food, great service, and an atmosphere that makes you want to stay a little longer.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ – We’ll definitely be back!
