Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews

We decided to give them a try after a 15+ year hiatus over poor food/service. Boy were we missing out. Our waitress was awesome. The food was fantastic. We ordered the queso and chips, the tower of onion rings and 3 burgers. The onion rings were fresh and crunchy. My hubby couldn't get enough of the queso. Their ranch is off the hook, and burgers were great. The fries honestly were the only weak link, but it wasn't enough to detract from the rest of the experience. Will definitely be back. Keep up the good work!

Proof you should never tip a pick up order. One burger, no tomatoes. Brought to my car and affirmed no tomato. No wonder this company is bankrupt and closing. Nobody cares about their job.

While the staff was nice, service was terrible. There was a walker in the waiting area blocking seats. The waitress took our order then returned 10 minutes later to tell us the order disappeared and she took it again. Fries slighty warm and overcooked. No bottomless fries even offered. Charged twice for same salad. Tablet on the table would not accept my payment and had to wait 20 minutes for the waitress to return so I could pay. The manager never helped or assisted except to take the extra salad off the receipt. Another waitress offered to help but when I told her I couldn't pay on the tablet, she told me I had to wait for our waitress to return from working the bar. Not sure why she was assigned to both the bar and our table while other staff were just standing around. Terrible experience. Will never go back to that location.

I celebrated many occasions at this location. From opening my first retail store to having dinner after shows at The Boardwalk. The Whiskey River BBQ Wrap is my go-to.

I recently revisited the Red Robin in Citrus Heights with my mother, and I must say, the experience was a delightful surprise. In the past, our visits were marred by slow service, understaffing, and a lack of personal attention. However, this time was a complete turnaround.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. Our waitress and the entire serving staff were exceptionally pleasant and attentive throughout our meal. The food arrived hot and flavorful, meeting all our expectations. This positive change in service and quality has renewed our interest in dining here, and we will certainly be returning.
It’s worth noting that previous reviews have highlighted issues similar to ours. For instance, some customers mentioned experiencing slow service and incorrect orders.
Given our recent experience, it seems the restaurant has made significant improvements. I highly recommend giving the Citrus Heights Red Robin another try.

My terrible food dining experience started on 02/28/25 at roughly 7pm. If Red Robin is going to offer bottomless sides and you are only able to produce every 25 minutes what is the point? Seriously. All we wanted were some fries, couldn't get that, ok then how bout broccoli then instead pretend we did not order the fries. This was what happened to us. How bout a side salad, this has to be easy enough, nope couldn't get that. No matter what the excuse, Red Robin has failed. The crappy thing is during Christmas I stopped in as I had not had a burger here for over 10 years, I bought two one hundred dollar gift cards, one to hand out and one to use. I've been carrying this thing around in my wallet and figured on Friday I'd head in for a meal. Literally like 10 individual fries that came with our two burgers. Before the main dish we told the waitress we would like to order broccoli and fries before the hamburger showed up. All that showed up was broccoli. No worries, then the meal came, I asked for two orders of fries. They did not show up. So we asked our main waitress for a side salad. After while of looking at each other we were going to ask for the check. So instead we asked another waitress. We were all done with our hamburger and fries. Then the side salad shows up. Awkward. Then two baskets of fries finally show up. Lawd. Seems Red Robin management needs to understand. No normal person wants to beg for food and tap there foot waiting. So disappointed.

Waited 10 mins to be served. People were sat behind us, got their drinks and ordered food. Had to complain to manager who was unresponsive in complaint. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

This is a rare, my family(2 adults 6 kids) continue going to a place that I would consider mediocre. The staff seems to always be short handed and less than genuine when serving your table. My family is a little noisy but respectful and we are decent tippers. We always clean our area including floor stack dishes nicely. Bill is around $100 and tip $30 when service is not great. $50+ when stand out service. Food is the strong point and made consistently well. We like bottomless fries but can rarely find a server that will bring them when asked. Not so bottomless.

Absolutely love me some Red Robin.... Yum. In all honesty I've been coming here since I was a kid and I have never had a bad experience once. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, the staff is friendly and just an all around great restaurant for friends, family or just take out. The bar is awesome too!

I ordered the Pig out burger and that consists of bacon & bacon bits. I also asked for them to add onions. When I got home and went to eat my burger I noticed that it was plain Jane- not what I ordered. This burger has no onion, no bacon, no bacon bits and no cheese. I paid my money for this? If I wanted a plain burger I would have went to McDonald’s. I am extremely frustrated because the last time I went to Red Robin I had an issue with my order & I didn’t leave a review because I know that accidents happen & I gave it a pass. I tried them again this evening because they are super close to home & I wanted a burger… this time I’m not going to let this pass because now they are just being careless & aren’t paying attention. I tried calling at 9:25pm to speak with a manager & guess what? No one answers the phone it just rings & rings then it takes you back to the main line when your call isn’t picked up. I called twice with the same outcome- nothing! I will not be coming back to this Red Robin location. Totally unacceptable.
