We love the Appetizers. The duck tacos are delicious. We got great service and hot food.

Their duck tacos and biscuits and gravy both to DIE for. Yum!! Also, you get a pretty generous discount if you order while at the tables. My favorite card room in the greater Sacramento area for sure.

Daniel the bartender is AMAZING. He's the best bartender they have! He's makes the best raspberry lemon drops! I have to come early for happy hour before he leaves. Tonight he stayed a little later so he could make me another drink!

We have been wanting to try this restaurant and were given a gift certificate so on a stormy night thought it was a good time to go. Pleasant surroundings and very good food. Manager was helpful about some of their features such as happy hour and lunch so we will be coming back to try those times. Our server Tommy provided excellent service and it was a nice experience for us. Carol P.

Sammy's Restaurant at Stones Gambling Hall is one of my favorite places to go and eat and watch sports. Friendly atmosphere and staff. The new manager is a friendly social man. I recommend this place.

The Carne Asada tacos were trash, which is wild because the steak was good quality. Seemed to be over marinated in ginger, but it didn’t come together well. Not to mention, $20 for two baby twos is a crime. Salsa was way too heavy in garlic as well. skip the tacosWith that said, the presentation was good and the vibe was cool. Stoneys was also surprisingly clean and chillOpen to changing the review if I return. In the meantime 3 stars is fair

The server was great, the casino was a bit loud which is fine if you are okay with that. It's great there was no smoking inside that I was aware of.What I am writing this review about was the food, which to be honest was mostly okay.We got dumplings to share, which was pretty nice. She got some kind of chicken and rice bowl, which was also pretty nice. I got the waygu cheeseburger with fries. From the start with my first fry, I thought if the rest of the food was this good, we were in for a great night. And then I tasted the burger. It was just missing something. There was nothing special about it. I tried putting ranch on it, and that didn't do it. I tried a mouthful of the burger and a bite of the pickle, which did add some, but it just wasn't right. For beef that is supposedly of a higher quality (waygu) than your normal grocery beef, the flavor was just not there. It was as if it was just hiding. Or it wasn't seasoned enough, or the bun just wasn't a right fit for this thing.I was disappointed. Everything else was pretty damn good, but the burger definitely missed the mark. Then as a to-go order we got the apple pie pizza since that seemed interesting, and I gotta say, it just didn't work. A thin pizza crust with the apple pie fillings on top is a giant miss. It really needed that pie crust to bring it all together. It was basically like emptying an apple pie onto a plate and told people to dip flavorless crackers into it.So the waygu cheeseburger was missing something, and the apple pie pizza was a dud. The rest of the stuff was great, but these 2 food options just didn't work. For a restaurant, the food is the most important thing to me, which is why I gave this overall a 3 instead of 4.Also apparently her something sunset drink wasn't great either. She said it was good on the alcohol portion, but the flavor wasn't good.Parking: For a casino, with a lot of people inside, there was surprisingly little parking available for the building itself. You have to cannibalize the parking of the other businesses around this one unless you are willing to circle the lot for a while.

I love going to Stones Gambling Hall because of the people and environment. Very friendly and no smoking inside. But, the food at Sammy's isn't the best. I've been coming here since it opened and the declined in their food is very noticeable. Ordered the Asian Lettuce wraps as of 2/19 and it's super salty. Their Vietnamese Pho broth taste like water down soup that's bland. Sometimes their pizzas are over cooked on the bottom or under cooked and it's dripping with sauce that's not fully done. The salt and pepper shrimp are good when the rice isn't under cooked and hard. How do you mess up rice? Don't get me wrong, there are a few solid items like the duck tacos, the sliders, the burgers, but the thing about it is that, consistency is a hit and miss here. So roll them dice cuz you ain't gambling with just chips! Lol
