Angry Chickz - Citrus Heights

I’ve been a loyal customer of Angry Chicken for years, but after last night, I won’t be going back. We ordered two medium sliders for me and two mild sliders with rice for my daughter. She took one bite and said it was too spicy—I tried it and it was clearly the same spice level as my medium.
When we brought this up, instead of fixing their mistake, the staff insisted it was mild just because the receipt said so. Anyone who eats here regularly knows the difference—the color and taste change as the spice level goes up. I’ve tried every flavor here, from mild to the spiciest, so I know what I’m talking about.
What disappointed me most wasn’t the mix-up, but how the staff handled it—gaslighting us rather than simply acknowledging and correcting the error. That’s not trustworthy service.
Sadly, Angry Chicken lost a loyal customer, and I can’t recommend this place anymore.

Angry is great if you want hot. X-Hot has heat with flavor. I get one of each every time I go. All the other flavors else could be served to children. I sign their little waiver each time but it definitely isn’t hot enough to write home about. Chickens shouldn’t eat Chicken. Great food and Staff is quite friendly.

They scammed me — I ordered through DoorDash but mistakenly placed my order to the wrong location so I immediately called and they told me they would cancel my order. (I heard them through the phone that they wouldn’t make the food.) After checking the app they marked the order as ready for pickup and didn’t process the refund. I called the restaurant again to see if they mistakenly marked the order incorrectly and they hung up on me as soon as they realized who I was and now they won’t answer my calls…

Great food and excellent service. The chicken has the right amount of spice and crunch. Staff members are polite and work quickly, even when it is busy

excellent place and attention

Young guy working there is made us feel awful for putting a splash of lemonade for our 3 year old in her water cup. Came off as if we are trying to steal from their machine even after I explained it was a single splash for her. He could've said it was policy but really doubled down on us trying not to pay.

Fries were stale, and rest ok but just ruined by the service

I asked for non-spicy hamburgers for the kids and they added spices and refused to change it, very bad service

Third time order is incorrect. I placed an order today for two hot two mild tenders they are all hot. It’s supposed to come with fries and there are no fries. It’s also supposed to come with a large cup of their sauce no sauce very frustrating we are done ordering from here not worth paying the extra fees and charges to get inconsistent orders. I also tried calling they didn’t answer the phone second time in a row. Terrible order terrible service.

The fact that this place has 4.5 stars is crazy. These reviewers must microwave freezer food as their daily diet. This place is gross. $5 for half a cup of macaroni with velveeta cheese ?

I visited for my brother's birthday, and although the atmosphere was amazing, the wait was a bit long, and they have limited options

I truly LOVE this place, I personally really like their angry Mac. Super friendly staff and this place is always clean. Regardless how busy they are or what time I come in they are on top of their game and give the best customer service and the food comes out quick!! All I can say is just come out and try them for yourself!
