Tugboat Fish & Chips

I grew up on Ivars and Skippers up in Washington state and (chippy) fish and chip shops in Scotland. So you know I love fish and chips.

This location is always on point.

The fish at this Tugboat is really tasty and the oysters are not over cooked.

Clean and quiet.

Disappointed. The fish wasn’t that good tasting and the fries were the old fashioned thick fries. It was not a bad experience but also not a good one. No fountain drinks. Can soft drinks and bottled water.

The serving plates to go are to small they pile it on like slop

My wife ordered take out for us. The portions on our 3 piece fish were generous even if a bit greasy. Also onion powder was in the tarter sauce , throwing off the flavor more. Overall , it was ok.

A good place for fish and chips.
Decor is old and somewhat battered. Could use some sprucing up. Seating appears to be for thinner people, but I managed to fit in.
Menu is basic but very clear. Price is reasonable for what you get.

Cute decore and delicious food. Due to where I parked I couldn't see the door and got confused, and the owner stepped out to help guide me! She was very sweet and personable. Portions are generous and very easy to split between 2-3 people.

As a person from Britain, my wife wanted to take me to get traditional fish and chips. First off the smell reminded me of home instantly. The price is reasonable, and then out came the food. Tasted amazing, it honestly felt like I was back home in the UK, lots of vinegar and salt. Would definitely recommend if you want to try some authentic tasting fish and chips to head here.

The fish and chip order was overcooked and dry. French fries look like the small end left overs and was over cooked. Very disappointed and will not return.

Best scallops! They were cooked to perfection!! We also ordered fish and chips as well as coleslaw. All were excellent!! Friendly service. Definitely plan on ordering from here again.
