First time here and we absolutely loved it. The food is very authentic and it feels like I’m at someone’s home eating home cooked food. My 18 month old daughter really liked the quesadilla with birria using a handmade flour tortilla. My husband ordered the torta ahogada and tacos de barbacoa estilo Guadalajara. I ordered two tacos de Carnitas and it was very delicious! The potato filling is soft and plenty. The carnitas are also very flavorful and filling. You can count on us coming back next time we’re in town.

Great service and very authentic food. So many good options it's hard to choose. And they have handmade tortillas. Delicious! Highly recommend.

Loved this restaurant! The service was great and there is lots of indoor seating. We ordered the quesadilla and carnitas tacos and we're not disappointed. The guacamole and chips were delicious.Parking lot can be crowded during lunch time.

Small mom and pop Mexican cafe located in a small strip mall. Very unassuming from the outside but inside is a nice, clean restaurant with really friendly people. Came here for lunch and was seated right away. The server was super helpful helping me decide. She mentioned the dishes they won awards for...(more on that later). Been here twice recently (food): 1st visit, I ordered the carne en su jugo or 'meat in its juices'. Jalisco region dish I believe. Primarily beef cooked along with beans, seasonings, with tomatillo salsa among other items. It's like a spicy comforting stew. Really delicious and served with their great fresh corn tortillas. I'm a big fan. Most recent visit, had the quesadilla a mano. Made with a large fresh corn tortilla along with cheese, meat, lettuce, cream, and cheese. Again, I love their fresh corn tortillas. Super soft and fluffy. Almost like a pancake. So it turns out, I actually bookmarked their other location because they showed up as a new recipient of a Michelin Bib Gourmand. I didn't make the connection because I came in due to a sign out front that simply said 'Street Tacos'. I didn't make the connection until afterwards when I looked them up because I liked the restaurant so much. I definitely want to check out the other location in LA as well. But the other place looks like it could be a little hectic. If you want delicious food in a really chill setting, this is the spot.

The food was great. It is a small little location but they are really nice. We went on a Saturday and they had a small mariachi playing. My daughter didn't like that it was loud (but she isn't big on loud noises) everyone else loved it!

Good location ...in the same parking lot as Yoshinoya and a strip club! Food is so good i'm recovering from a food coma right now as we speak. I'm definitely a fan and we will definitely be back over and over again. Order jamaica and horchata agua frescas...the sopa de res and thank me later! So good I can't wait to go back!!!

Food was good. I had the lonche de barbacoa... pretty much a torta. The bread is what made it 5 stars. My friend got the carne asada tacos. The tacos are big and he said it tastes good. We both got a Jamaica drink which came in a chilled earthen cup and wasn't too sweet. The service was OK, considering they were short staffed. Very friendly though. The waitress hooked us up because there was a large party that had just barely beat us in putting our order in and we got our food first, saving us from a long wait. Someone from that party still complained that we got our food first, but we were on our lunch break and that family obviously had a lot more time to spare. Atmosphere gets 2 stars because it was Summer and I was sweating the entire time. They had one oscillating fan but that huge party was using it. Also, the Mexican Cokes were $4...maybe in Downtown LA, some hipsters will pay that, but not any self respecting Mexican. Will definitely go back, but will wait for the weather to cool down and not during my lunch hour. Also, during lunch time, the nudie bar next door gets packed and there's not much parking.

Quesadilla is fire. Unlike any quesadilla I've tasted. Their bone marrow is delicious they add rosemary and you can taste it in every bite.
