Half and half, a suitable name for a middle of the road boba shop with nothing special.The atmosphere is bad- loud music and a lack of table room makes staying to chat or work impossible. The drinks menu is extensive, and of the 3 very different drinks I tried none were well made.Their black tea base was slightly over brewed- nothing too atrocious, but noticable. Honestly I think this place suffers from a lack of good management, despite having all the aspects of a great boba...
It’s honestly a trek when you have to drive almost two hours from one side of town in Pasadena…. to be on the other side of town to get boba at Half & Half Tea House, in Rowland Heights (technically City of Industry but oh well, it doesn’t matter at this point). It's an express so there's nowhere to sit indoors. The menu is extensive but has no prices on it until you check out. Currently they have a weekday deal for a free upgrade to the Super size from 25oz to 33 oz.I tried their almond milk black tea which is made with a syrup. Maybe it was the combination with grass jelly and honey boba toppings that made it not as appetizing. The Honey Boba was ok in texture...not the softest Id like.For more helpful SoCal food and travel...
