This place was unbelievable. We just moved to Claremont and picked this place based on the photos. We had Sarah as a server and she was wonderful. We came at a very busy time and still got seated in five minutes with a choice of tables. Everything we ordered was phenomenal and obviously the goat cheese lollipops are mandatory. We ordered the duck and filet mignon and they were absolutely perfect. We're already planning our return trip.

Unfortunately this experience wasnt as pleasant, I guess its a Hit and Miss, Sarina was not only Rude when we were ordering but she wasnt very much attentive during dinner. Perhaps it just wasnt her night to be at work who knows. But Unfortunately last night's experience has my friend not wanting to return :(
He was explaining what a London Mule was and if they made them, she abruptly cut him off with attitude 🙄.

The service is as good as their cocktails. This will be the high point of your visit. The menu and food are decent, and one can see the effort they make; but, like other restaurants in the area, Bardot reaches beyond its grasp. If it’s between this place and Union on Yale, by all means have a cocktail at each (the Bardot’s being better given that their servers will make superior recommendations). Enjoy appetizers at Union and have your entree at Bardot, but you’ll still wonder what it’d be like if Claremont had a restaurant like the one both pretend to be.

Update: don’t sit inside, inside sucks. Also, go, if you have to, when it’s slow. Last, what with those stupid heaters that look like lamps? Just use heaters man, everyone knows those gaudy “lamps” suck.

Stepping into Bardot in Claremont Village feels like entering an evening retreat where sophistication meets comfort. The ambiance carries a subtle European charm low lighting, modern dĂ©cor, and soft chatter that fills the space without ever overwhelming it. Every detail, from the sleek marble countertops to the carefully plated dishes, feels deliberate yet effortless. There’s an undeniable sense that Bardot understands what makes dining memorable: not extravagance, but refinement woven through every experience. The night began with a spread that instantly captured the restaurant’s culinary balance between rustic and contemporary. The charcuterie board, lined with thinly sliced prosciutto, pĂątĂ©, and freshly baked baguette, showcased Bardot’s attention to texture and quality.

Wow. It’s awesome here with a fireplace and my friends from Whittier and Pasadena joined today here and had great steak and awesome food.

Normally we love Bardot but this visit left us doubting if we'd ever return. The food as always is fantastic, but once again, the service has failed them. I recognize that Friday and Saturday nights are when the A team staff is on duty, but you'd think Sunday morning would be as important. It took 40 minutes from the moment that we sat down to the time when our drinks arrived. During that time we hade a waiter swap without out any notice. The new guy had nothing to say whatsoever amd seemed dayzed. It was a hour before we got our food. We considered leaving at one point but didnt didn't want to start the process all over again. My last complaint is the seat they chose for us. The table is over a drain that makes the legs slope down by nearly 2 to 3 inches. It was so bad that we had to keep a hand on our glasses so that they wouldn't slide off.

It was a really fun vibe, but unfortunately older folks between the talking and the band, it was hard for us to hear each other and converse without yelling, but that’s not anybody’s fault but our age. Just saying don’t go there if you’re expecting intimate conversation. I thought the food was very mediocre for the price.

Cold food unfortunately and not very busy at lunch, so not sure what the issue may have been.

Supposed to be a staple for the Clermont area. Food was good. Ranks were good. Nothing really stood out all that much about it. Certainly if you're in the area and want something to eat, it's a good choice. But I would probably keep kind of looking around next time.
