“A Hidden Gem That Feels Like the French Quarter Itself! From the moment we stepped into The Quarter in Claremont, it was like being whisked straight to New Orleans. The atmosphere was electric — the scent of Creole spices in the air, the soft hum of conversation mingled with jazz playing in the background, and the decor that looked plucked right out of the French Quarter. I half-expected to walk outside and find a brass band on the corner! We started with the soft-shelled crab and grits, perfectly crisp and full of Southern comfort. The fried catfish topped with crawfish étouffée was rich, flavorful, and absolutely indulgent — pure Louisiana soul on a plate. The roasted catfish with lump crab was delicate yet decadent, each bite melting in your mouth. Even the bread and butter were unforgettable — the sweet Creole butter was so good we could’ve made a meal out of it alone. Our bourbon cocktails were spot-on — smooth, balanced, and crafted with care — and we finished with the bread pudding drizzled in warm bourbon sauce, which was heavenly. Every dish was layered with flavor and heart. A special shoutout to José, our server, who was not only attentive and friendly but truly made us feel like family. His recommendations were perfect! We live three and a half hours away, but honestly, I’d make the drive again just for a date night here. It’s that good. The Quarter doesn’t just serve food — it serves an experience.”

“I’ve been to plenty of fast-casual spots, but my recent visit to Dave’s Hot Chicken stood out, and that was entirely because of Yeffrey and Isaac. Great food brings you in, but the people behind the counter decide whether you come back. These two made sure I will.
Yeffrey was on it from the moment I walked in. He was friendly and upbeat, and he took the time to make sure my order was right without making me feel rushed. You can tell he genuinely enjoys helping people, and it makes a difference.
Isaac was just as impressive. He kept things moving efficiently while still bringing real energy and warmth to the job. It’s obvious he cares about the customer experience, not just getting orders out the door.
What stood out most was how well they worked together. The whole place felt welcoming and well run, and that kind of atmosphere comes from employees who take pride in their work. The chicken was excellent too, but Yeffrey and Isaac made the visit memorable.

“In need of some bbq and decided to visit with my kids. We had an amazing time there. The menu was upscale for most bbq restaurants and creative along with all of the standard fare. Let's me say that the manager was outstanding. Professional, attentive and friendly to every guest. The food was very good. My son had the fried catfish sandwich. My daughter has the smoked sausage dinner and I had the St. Louis style ribs. The fish sandwich was perfectly fried and huge. My daughter's smoked sausage dinner was succulent and delicious. My rib dinner was tasty but, a little underwhelming as far as the smoke on it. I do prefer hickory smoke with a nice bark. They use pecan which is a mellow flavor profile and there was no bark. Also, they were a bit over cooked. Let me explain. A good smoked rib should have a nice bark, flavorful smoke and be tender but not mushy. These ribs although tasty didn't meet that standard in my opinion although very moist with a nice smoke ring. I was looking for a nice tender bite that comes clean from the bones while maintaining some structure. But they were still delicious never the less. We're looking forward to trying the rest of the menu asap. Overall, an excellent experience worthy of the price.”

“Ironbark is a very nice local brewery! They make and serve hard cider, there are some other drinks available and food trucks visit on the weekends with a variety of cuisine. There are musical events, pub, trivia, bingo, and Friday karaoke, as well as a monthly open mic night. It is a great friendly café type atmosphere and an LGBTQ+ safe space!”

“I have been in several Peruvian restaurants in LA, but like Inka Trails, no other. This is the closest you can taste peru. The quality, the service and most of it the Peruvian experience every time you go there. The owner Patty is always catering to you to make sure you have the best of Inka Trails. I had the grilled salmon with penne pasta and a salad and it was delicious. The salmon is thin cut. This was a perfect meal for us that wasn’t too heavy. The salad was super refreshing and the dressing was tasty. There’s a tiny parking lot in back if you’re lucky. Be prepared to street park.”

I was a little confused because it says Aladdin but the sign outside says burgers 🤣 Glad I walked out to look for it. Ordered a chicken kabob. It was about $30 with the extra chicken kabob, but it was a hefty meal. The plate came with rice, grilled veggies, hummus, pita, and a green salad. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. Everything was tasty, even the garlic sauce and taziki sauce. Glad I tried it out.”

The cake was impeccably crafted and the designers decorated it in exactly the manner in which we requested, “Not too much.” The frosting was strikingly smooth and the piping adorned only the bottom of the cake, ensuring the decoration was not too much. The colors of the yellow and red roses and the green leaves on top of the cake were tastefully muted and maintained the minimal emphasis of the decorations. It was a spice cake in which all the flavors blended perfectly without one flavor standing out too predominantly. It was delivered exactly at the time it was scheduled to arrive at the location. I highly recommend this bakery when you have an occasion that requires a specialty cake.”

Ginkgo Chinese Restaurant has become one of those places for me. The food is consistently good, the service is always welcoming, and after a while it starts to feel less like a restaurant and more like a familiar stop in my week.

And with block ice in it rather than a small amount of chipped ice, the drink was gone in a sip. And for $5.25. Please note that the standard size for this drink is a Grande. With only one size option available, people will expect that size. The TALL is so small. Nice atmosphere and kind staff, so I did not complain as I don't seek to make workers feel bad for something that is not their fault. I will stick to the main stores in the area though, since this is the only drink I get.”

“Had Jaiden as our bartender, she was very attentive and got me the extra sauces I asked for. The drinks were actually pretty good! Got the Watermelon Smash and Passionfruit Sour and then got the tenders and fries basket. The tenders my friend ordered def were bigger and he got more, mine was like 2.5 tenders as the third piece was not a full size tender but his were decent portions. Not sure if they go by weight or quantity 🤷‍♂. I like the ambience though and it is a nice chill spot for food and drinks.”
