I grabbed a table out front of city hall a half block away. The service is awesome, she came outside to take my order and payment since I had my dog with me. It's in the strip mall with TJs so be prepared for a crazy parking lot at all times.... But there's plenty of space in the back.

This place is super casual and most people take their food to go. You order at the counter after perusing their extensive menu. Lots of smoothies to pick from (a little on the expensive side), loads of sandwiches and salads.

As a pescatarian I really appreciated that they had a tuna option and it was not mayo heavy (it was labeled spicy and was indeed spicy!). The salad was perfect - loads of fresh veggies and very affordable.

So happy to have found this place and will put it on my regular rotation when I come to town!“

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. First time was Valentine's Day meal that we loved so much that we took our college-age children and their significant others for a special birthday meal. They were impressed with the food, the presentation, the wine, the service, the view, all of it, and said they plan to also come back for special event meals. Hidden gem! Menu selections are creative, memorable, delicious and priced better than any other place around that serves food of this level. Service is friendly and attentive. Cal Poly Pomona students do the work at RKR, and it feels good to support the cause. Usually only open part of the year when college courses are in session, but we're excited to hear from our server that there are plans to expand service to summer also. A professor from the college was on hand to oversee the experience and was delightful & gracious to talk with and learn from (her knowledge of wine is extensive & informative).“

“This place has amazing coffee and matcha varieties, and it’s the only place I’ve found near by that has the strong matcha flavor I like, like Airoma from Vegas. It has a real coffee shop vibe with people actually conversating. The only issue my husband was unhappy with is the drinks are on the smaller side for the price and also they don’t let you pay with cash. Their spinach soufflé is delicious, but the lemon loaf was dry. The staff is welcoming though and make the drinks quickly, so the quality is there.“

From the welcoming staff the moment you walk through the door, to the decor, to the EXTENSIVE bakery items (that are beyond delicious!), to the pizza, to the coffee, there is truly not a bad choice on the menu!
